The third season of Battle on the Beach is wrapping up, and fans of the HGTV show have a lot to say about the competition series. Three teams of up-and-coming home renovators have been competing to update beach houses in Fort Morgan, Alabama.

They have a $90,000 budget, plus guidance from their coaches—Taniya Nayak (Build it Forward), Ty Pennington (Rock the Block), and Alison Victoria (Windy City Rehab). The judges (Bryan and Sarah Baeumler of Renovation Island) will decide who takes home the $50,000 cash prize.

The fifth episode found teams competing in the exterior battle, which promised a $3,000 prize for the winning team.

HGTV shared a promo for the episode, and fans did not hold back in the comments section.

  • "I hate that they only give them a WEEK to do everything. If given extra time the spaces would be amazing! Uggggh"

  • "Next season if the judges are going to be so critical about everything the budget needs to be more than 90k"

Many viewers were confused by the episode's ending. Bryan and Sarah discussed each team's work, but rather than announcing a winner for the exterior renovation, the episode ended with a "TO BE CONTINUED" message. Fans left messages like, "Where is the ending??? Did no one win??" and "Who won?? My Dish literally went out during the decision ughhhh." Another viewer said, "Huge disappointment having to wait another week??? Why???"

You won't have to wait much longer to find out how it all shakes out. HGTV offered this teaser for the final episode called "Champions on the Beach": "The final challenge sends the competitors scrambling to put the finishing touches on their properties. The teams feel the pressure as they get one more chance to impress the judges before the winner is revealed."

The final episode airs on Sunday night at 9 EST/8 CST on HGTV. All three seasons of the series are available to stream on Max.
