Baton Rouge named among best fishing spots in US for Memorial Day, list shows
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Looking for something to do with your friends and family this holiday weekend? In a new list, Baton Rouge was named one of the top 10 fishing spots for Memorial Day.
FishingBooker, for the sixth year in a row, selected the best fishing destinations in the United States for Memorial Day weekend and the capital city landed on the list.
“The best thing about fishing in Baton Rouge is that you can go fishing in the morning and then roam the city in the afternoon, as both activities will take place downtown. This is especially convenient for anglers with families,” said FishingBooker in the listing.

There are several fishing spots across East Baton Rouge Parish including the Blackwater Conservation Area, Burbank Park Lake, City Brooks Community Park Lake, Forest Community Park Lake and Highland Road Community Park Lake.
