Bat Napping With Its Tiny Tongue Sticking Out Is Just Impossible to Resist

For a scary animal, this guy is pretty cute!

To some people, bats are creepy or frightening creatures. Maybe it's their membranous wings or their nocturnal schedule that makes them so controversial, but for people who love bats, nearly nothing will deter their affection. Just ask the passionate bat rescuers at @lubeebatconservancy.

They recently posted an adorable video to their TikTok account, and we are absolutely obsessed. Elmira the bat is the sweetest thing as she naps with her tiny tongue sticking out!

Aww! She's such a cute little bat, and we just can't get enough of her! If we were there filming the video, we'd probably be trying to pet her instead of letting her sleep. At least we're not the only ones who feel that way!

"OMG! The little tongue. Baby sky puppy is soooo adorable," wrote commenter @thewanderingmind. We feel the very same way! The folks who get to care for her are oh-so-lucky to interact with such majestic creatures.

@Lalone45 asked, "Do the tips of their tongues always stick out like that? Or are they just being cute?" Great question! As much as we hope it's a regular thing, we've also never seen a bat with their tongue out before.

Lubee Bat Conservancy replied, "Elmira’s tongue is almost always sticking out, but most of the other bats are able to contain the blep." That's absolutely precious! Elmira has to be our favorite bat as of now, purely because of the tongue. No wonder her videos are always so popular!
