Baskin-Robbins' New Flavor Is Our Favorite Fall Release Yet

It's inspired by a beloved autumn treat.

Unlike most fast food restaurants that declared the beginning of fall and pumpkin season in August, Baskin-Robbins has held off on releasing its fall flavors until now. With the minor exception of its Pumpkin Cheesecake flavor, the ice cream brand’s menu hasn’t seen many seasonal additions. Instead, September featured a transitional summer-to-fall flavor—Coffee Shop Cold Brew.

However, now that the coffee- and cinnamon-flavored ice cream’s run is over, Baskin-Robbins is officially in fall mode with the launch of its October flavor of the month—plus a returning fan-favorite seasonal ice cream cake.

Baskin-Robbins' October Flavor of the Month

This October, Baskin-Robbins is introducing an all-new autumnal flavor: Apple Cider Donut. These days, apple cider donuts—made with real apple cider, fall spices, and cinnamon sugar—are almost as popular as pumpkin spice desserts, which is why Baskin-Robbins decided to turn the tasty fall treat into a specialty scoop. The ice cream flavor features pieces of real apple cider donuts as well as a cinnamon sugar swirl to taste just like the sweet, cinnamon-spiced donut you’d find at your favorite shop (or apple orchard).

The flavor will be available at Baskin-Robbins locations all month long in October. It makes a great alternative to the pumpkin-forward flavors that you’ll find at most other scoop shops.

Baskin-Robbins Brings Back Zombie Unicorn Cake

And, if your favorite parts of fall aren’t the pumpkin patch or sweater weather but rather the creepy decor and horror movies, Baskin-Robbins has something for you, too. The brand is bringing back its fan-favorite Halloween dessert, the Zombie Unicorn Cake.

Baskin-Robbins' Zombie Unicorn Cake is the spooky-yet-cute ice cream cake your Halloween party needs. It features a cake base and ice cream layer decorated with green icing, an Oreo crumb-dipped cone, dark chocolate ears, an icing "mane", and red gel “blood” to look like an adorably un-dead unicorn.

Plus, like most of Baskin-Robbins’ cakes, the Zombie Unicorn Cake is fully customizable, so you can choose your cake and ice cream flavors.

Speaking of spooky season, if you’re trying to spend your Halloween night enjoying a sweet treat that’s not candy, Baskin-Robbins has a deal you won’t want to miss.
