Barstool Sports Founder Dave Portnoy Adopts Precious New Dog Named 'Miss Peaches'

Getting a new puppy is always a big deal, even when you're Barstool sports founder Dave Portnoy. The social media personality shared video of him picking up his new rescue pup — named Miss. Peaches — recently online. And it already looks like these two were meant to be BFFs.

The media mogul looked positively smitten the second that the pup's handler revealed her in the trunk of her car.

"She's so special!" the woman cheered as she opened up the trunk in the footage. "Here she is!"

For her part, Miss. Peaches was perfectly calm when Portnoy approached her. He gave her some good pets under her chin and a kiss on her little nose.

Her handler agreed that the dog was "mellow" and explained that she'd given the dog some CBD on the ride over.  The new dog dad could tell that Miss. Peaches was anxious but they took their time getting to know each other.

"She's the best," her handler continued. "I've fostered a lot — she is the sweetest soul I've ever met. She really is. She really is a special, special gal."

And by the looks of it, Portnoy thought so too.

People online were happy to see the beginning of Miss. Peaches' happy ever after. "I didn’t realize I needed Dave Portnoy to be a girl dog dad," joked one person. "Little does Miss. Peaches knows she’s gonna have the life," someone else teased. "She doesn’t even realize she is about to be Princess Peaches," a third person kidded.

This isn't the first dog that Portnoy has had. In the past he's had two dogs with his ex-wife Renee Portnoy.

Miss Peaches Is Already Loving Her New Home

It's only been a matter of hours since Portnoy brought Miss. Peaches home, but already he's given us an update. Looks like she's made herself right at home!

"Welcome home, Miss. Peaches!" Portnoy said from behind the camera. "Come on, Miss. Peaches, this is your new home!"

In the video, Miss. Peaches walked right in and started to take a look around. She had to take in every square inch of her new digs. Portnoy also made sure to show her the backyard — so she could get a good look at her new bathroom.

Portnoy gave the pup a quick kiss on the snoot before the clip cut off. It can't be easy getting your new rescue dog comfortable in a new environment, but it seems like she's really going to be happy there. We certainly know that her dad is happy to have her.
