How Barbara Palvin Got Her “Classic Glamour”-Inspired Bridal Hair Look

Her hairstylist reveals all the details, from their inspiration to the getting-ready soundtrack.

When Barbara Palvin secretly wed her partner of five years, Dylan Sprouse, over the weekend, celebrity hairstylist Owen Gould had one vision in mind: classic glamour.

"We wanted to highlight Barbara's natural beauty," Gould tells InStyle. "The makeup was soft and dewy to stay with this theme, and the hair was really just a complement to the dress." The pro goes on to say the mood of the hair was soft and simple and that he enhanced her lengths with subtle bends for volume and movement above her Vivienne Westwood gown.

"Barbara is the best collaborator," he adds. "She often gives me free rein when it comes to hair. That's why it's always so fun working together. There isn't much we haven't done."

To create the look, Gould first prepped hair with Bumble and bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Primer before working a quarter-sized amount of Bb. All-Style Blow Dry through the hair, starting from the mid-shaft all the way to the ends. He then sectioned off the hair before giving it a smooth, shiny blowout. Once the hair was dry, he misted on Bb.Does It All to give the look a light hold and protect hair from hot tools. He then curled hair with a 2-inch curling iron to get loose waves, setting them with a veil of Bb.Spray de Mode.

Only furthering the feel-good vibes of the glam session was the pair's playlist, which was supercharged by who else but Beyoncé, says Gould. What better way to set the mood than a Queen Bey soundtrack?
