BAPE Throws It Back to the '90s With Tamagotchi Collaboration
A Bathing Ape is healing our inner children with its latest collaboration with the one and only Tamagotchi.
The nostalgic collection reimagines the iconic digital toys in BAPE's signature camo print, encasing the LCD display in the militaristic pattern, painting it in vibrant shades of green, blue and pink. Each Tamagotchi comes with a matching BAPE neck strap, allowing customers to wear the adorable handheld games as accessories.
The collection also features T-shirts and hoodies that boast a pixelated version of BAPE's APE HEAD logo, nodding to the technology's humble start in the '90s. The apparel also welcomes a lenticular graphic of the "Tamagotchi" screen, which changes depending on where you're standing, adding an interactive and playful element. Characters "Mamecchi" and "Oyaji-chi" also make an appearance, continuing the assortment's sentimental energy.
