Bape isn’t done celebrating its 30th anniversary just yet.

The Japanese streetwear label, founded by multihyphenate Nigo, has collaborated with Adidas on another iteration of the Stan Smith. Dropping on February 10, the sneakers eschew the typical white colorway in favor of Bape’s signature camouflage motif. The graphic “ABC Camo” print pops against white laces, gold “Stan Smith” text, and co-branded images on the tongue. The reimagined trainers also feature a gold “30” on the laces to tie it all together.

The shoe combines a durable rubber outsole with a flexible upper, textile lining, and the three stripes (perforated) that are synonymous with Adidas. The pair also comes with two sets of laces if you want to switch things up, as well as camo sock liners, and a custom co-branded box.

As an added bonus, the footwear was manufactured sustainably from at least 20 percent recycled materials. (Adidas says it is transforming its business to help reduce its carbon footprint; rethinking, redesigning, repairing, and reusing as much as it can.)

Adidas and Bape have been working together for two decades, since the launch of the Super Ape Star sneaker in 2003. Since then, the pair have teamed up to create limited editions, such as the Superstar “B-Side,” an ABC Camo-printed Originals NMD_R1 trainer, and Consortium Superstar 80s sneakers with UNDFTD. The two joined forces once again last November to present two new takes on the Stan Smith in honor of Bape’s 30th anniversary. (Those kicks showcased contrasting black and white colorways, as well as a host of signature collaborative details.)

The Stan Smith is an archival classic with enduring appeal. First launched in 1965, the tennis shoe was originally named the “Adidas Robert Haillet” after the prominent French player, but was renamed in honor of American tennis pro Stan Smith in 1978. The shoe has a simple design, with clean, minimalist lines, meaning that designers can really put their stamp (read: camo motif) on it.

The third and final iteration of the limited-edition anniversary Bape Stan Smith will be available on the Adidas Confirmed app, via selected retailers, and on Bape’s website from February 10. The sneakers will set you back $160 a pop.
