The Banana Was Revealed On Last Night’s 'Masked Singer' And Some People Knew It All Along

Everyone has their television guilty pleasure that they may keep on the down low. For me, that show is The Masked Singer, but once you watch it, I'm sure you'll feel the same. On last night's episode, Banana (who has been one of the fan favorites throughout the season) was revealed. So, yes, there are spoilers ahead! Don't say I didn't warn you!

For his first performance, Banana sang "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" by Bob Dylan. If it wasn't clear from his previous episodes, the person under the Banana mask was definitely a seasoned performer not just because of his voice, but also because of how comfortable he was on stage. The main hints in Banana's clue package were a cat in a bag, a fake X-ray machine, and references to cowboy hats and Nashville.

Guesses like Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Kid Rock, and Bret Michaels were thrown around all season. Last night, judge Jenny McCarthy said that the cat and X-ray machine could be referring to a CAT scan, which lead her to guess Bret Michaels because the singer suffered a head injury back in 2009.

At the end of the episode, due to audience votes, Banana went head-to-head against Kitty to sing for their lives. Banana came through with "Brick House" by The Commodores but Kitty's rendition of "Unstoppable" by Sia had her coming out on top. This meant the Banana was finally going to be revealed, and turns out Jenny was right—it was Bret Michaels under the mask!

After being unmasked, Bret explained just how much fun the show was, and how being a part of it was even more special because he always watches it with his kids. "I would've done anything to get here, this is the most awesome show. I've never had such a great time," he said: "The kids love the show, the family loves the show and I want this to go on forever it's such an upbeat, positive party, the world needs it right now."

Masked Singer fans weren't totally shocked with the reveal, but I must say, if legendary rock star Bret Michaels was revealed this early, there's no telling who else is under the rest of the masks. I guess we'll have to tune in next Wednesday on FOX to find out!
