This beautiful cake comes from the Tessa Huff blog Style Sweet CA. Huff started working as a pastry chef and eventually ran Northern California’s Frosted Cake shop for four years. She now lives in Vancouver where she is a chef, food stylist, photographer, and soon-to-be author of a cookbook come Spring 2016 (Abrams Books). Congrats, Tessa!
Now let’s talk about cake.
Huff layers this #cakeoftheday with rich chocolate ganache, frosts it with hazelnut buttercream, and coats just the bottom couple inches of its exterior with toasted hazelnuts, giving it a cool gradient effect. And, well, it has Nutella and bananas in it. So, if it wasn’t everything we ever wanted in a cake already, it sure is with that knowledge. Huff’s favorite part is the salted caramel sauce, which she drizzles on each slice. Hmm, maybe we’ll like that part, too…
