New Balance Enhances the Sporty Lines of 1906R in New Metallic Pack

Over the past year, the 1906R has grown to be one of New Balance’s most sought-after silhouettes. Landing as the contemporary version of the 2009-born sneaker, it models an ultra-sporty-yet-streamlined look that proves to match seamlessly with Y2K revival trends and everyday athleisure fits.

In the latest 1906R pack, the brand continues to play on the sneaker’s ‘00s-inspired aesthetics, introducing a range of metallic hues to its webbed overlay. A stand-out colorway in the four-piece arrival is the “Licorice” iteration with rose pink metallic panels along the lateral and complementing hints of deep purple on the toe box. In a similar style, the “New Spruce” version features a bright blue on each side with deeper shades along the upper.

The remaining two sneakers dropping in the pack are “Blue” and “Moonrock.” These models adopt a more pared-back look with the first adorning black undertones and the latter featuring classic grey New Balance tones stretching the breadth of the shoe.

Adding to the retro feel, New Balance integrates a soft yellow ABZORB midsole to each of the sneakers in an effort to emphasize a lived-in look. This feature is slightly softened through the use of an off-white underlying mesh that appears throughout the body and tongue. To finish, classic white laces tie together the gray New Balance logo, eyelets, and other components.
