Smell that? Christmas is in the air. And according to Baking Christmas, an OWN original holiday film, the season smells like freshly baked cookies—and sibling rivalry. Premiering November 29 at 9pm, Baking Christmas tells the story of three grown siblings competing to inherit their parents’ successful bakery.

In this clip from Baking Christmas, Patty (Aloma Wright) announces her retirement from the bakery. To determine which of her three children will take over Patty Cakes, she unveils her plan for an elaborate bake-off competition (think Shakespeare's King Lear meets The Great British Baking Show).

"I'm going to give you each one secret step," Patty says, handing out three envelopes. "The rules are simple: You can't work together. So don't share what's in your envelope with anyone."

Immediately, the family dinner turns tense. Jennifer (Khalilah Joi), Angela (Leigh-Ann Rose) and Anthony (Arnell Powell) each feel that he or she is the most qualified to run their parents' successful enterprise. "If that's the case, this is your chance to prove it. All of you," Patty says, stirring the pot with a calm smile. Her husband, Phil (Tim Reid, a.k.a. Ray of Sister, Sister), looks on at his wife's game approvingly.

As this clip makes evident, Patty is an all-powerful, all-knowing matriarch—and that's exactly the energy we need to channel this holiday season.

How will Jennifer, Angela, and Anthony approach the bake-off? Which sibling will inherit Patty Cakes? And, most importantly, will the siblings be exchanging presents this year, or only competitive side-eyes? Move over, Agatha Christie: These are the answers we need solving.

Baking Christmas is the last of three original holiday movies premiering on OWN this November. One Fine Christmas, starring Rick Fox and his daughter, Sasha, premiered on November 15, and was followed by Carole's Christmas on November 22.

Get those cookies in the oven, because Baking Christmas is a delightful movie best enjoyed with a side of something sweet.
