Bakersfield Museum of Art to host Artmix next week

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield Museum of Art is set to host its spring fundraiser, Artmix: An Upscale Night at the Museum next week.

Lauren Marty with the BMoA joined 17 News at Noon to speak about the event which includes a colorful art lounge, music, food, drinks, art sale and silent auction.

The Artmix brings together Kern and regional artists together with current and future collectors. “What’s really special about this moment, the artists and the collectors get to meet and half of the proceeds go to the museum and the other half go to the artist. So you’re not only supporting the museum you’re supporting art makers in Bakersfield and throughout the state.”

Work included in the art sale will be available for public viewing Tuesday, April 30 through May 9. You can also expect cocktails and mocktails from Tiki-Ko, food from Chef Lino at the Pour House, wines from ASV Wines and music from DJ Cat & Chuck 1.
