You might need to do a double-take to realize that the potato you're looking at is not a real russet. In fact, it tastes quite the opposite of a baked potato. It's sweet and it melts. Have you figured it out yet?

Okay fine, it's ice cream! It came from a regular pint of vanilla, I promise. We just piled it into plastic wrap and shaped it into a potato. The most transformative step, however, is when the frozen ice cream potato gets rolled in cocoa powder. It's what makes the whole thing look so insanely realistic.

The toppings are equally fun. All good baked potatoes come serve with a heaping dollop of sour cream, but all good ice cream potatoes come with whipped cream. The sweet and fluffy mounds are key. Then of course you need to season it with white sanding sugar (salt) and a ground cinnamon (pepper). And you can't forget the yellow Starburst (butter)! A garnish of green sprinkles (chives) isn't exactly necessary, but it's a pro touch, as is the chopped red licorice (bacon).
