Don't put away your shovels and winter boots just yet. Another snowstorm is on its way across the country (*cue collective groans*).

Winter Storm Grayson-aka the "bomb cyclone" that hammered the Northeast-was only the beginning. We hate to be the bearer of bad weather news, but more snow, sleet, and freezing rain are expected to follow recent blizzard conditions, according to The Weather Company.

The second round of cold-weather chaos is starting in the Northwest and working its way toward the Northeast. This weather event is predicted to last from Friday, Jan.5 into Monday, Jan. 8 but total snowfall might be low due to the fast-moving nature of the storm.

If you're in Idaho and western Montana, be prepared for freezing rain Friday night into Saturday morning. Higher elevations will get snow, which will spread across the northern and central Rockies throughout Saturday.

By Sunday morning, Nebraska and Kansas will start to experience freezing rain. A mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain is expected to hit Illinois, Missouri, and northern Arkansas. And by the evening, the same cold weather cocktail will have moved from Illinois to Ohio and into North Carolina and Georgia.

Last, but certainly not least, Monday brings the bad weather to the Northeast. By the evening, snow, sleet, and freezing rain will stretch from New York City into the mid-Atlantic. If you're in New England, the snow and rain might stick around until Tuesday morning (sorry!).

On the bright side, we have plenty of ways to prevent the blizzard blues from getting you down. Pair an affordable, chunky knit blanket with a cup of spiked hot chocolate for an extra cozy day indoors. Or try a winter activity that requires a little powder if you're psyched for more snow.
