Anyone else watch The Bachelorette on Monday? Because if so, you’re probably still thinking about Rachel Recchia’s bold red dress, which featured what we can all agree was a simply next-level puff sleeve. And yeah, Twitter did its thing:

Enter Bachelor Nation stylist Cary Fetman, who decided to hop on Instagram and respond to everyone roasting the dress. “For all that think I hate her, let’s just deal with this dress tonight,” Cary said. “If you had the once in a lifetime chance to be the Bachelorette: 1 would you choose having a blast with high fashion clothes that you’d probably never have a chance to wear again? Or 2: a sexy over-the-top black sequin dress or sexy silk? Vote 1 or 2?”

#1 all the way, give me that red puffy dress, pls!

Anyway, Cary has been The Bachelorette’s stylist for years, so pretty sure he knows what he’s doing. And he also is full of fun secrets about the show. Like, did you know night one dresses are always sequined? As he put it a couple years back:

“There’s a reason why they all have some gauzy bottom or sequins. I don’t think the audience realizes how long that night is and how many times you’re lifted in the air and put down... It’s gotta be something that I can dry and clean while the party is beginning before you go back out again. It can’t be something that is absorbed and is filthy, because it’s a really long night. You can’t worry about the fact that every time you cross your leg, the bottom of your dress is completely ruined.”

Delightful tidbit!
