The Bachelorette’s JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers’ Wedding Date Is Sooner Than You Think

The countdown is officially on. Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher’s wedding to fiancé Jordan Rodgers will take place in spring or summer of 2020, almost three years after the pair got engaged on ABC’s hit reality show.

“It’s happening,” Fletcher told People. “We want an outdoor wedding in California, either Malibu, Napa or Santa Barbara,” she said of their “spring or summer” nuptials set to take place next year.

The couple is well aware of Bachelor fans’ anticipation for their long-awaited marriage. “In the beginning, we had more of the ability to say we’re going to date and court each other, but then three years go by and we started to feel like people were annoyed by it,” Fletcher explained. “They’re like, ‘You’re never going to get married!’”

Rodgers addressed the buzz around their long engagement by sharing a photo of himself and his fianceé with an old-age filter. “When Bachelor fans think we will actually get married… (hopefully I actually keep my hair and JoJo’s teeth don’t wear down to nubs),” the sports analyst captioned the post.

But Fletcher wanted to be sure that the timing of their wedding was perfect, even if it meant waiting three years. “We wouldn’t change it,” she said. “Without having those years to go through different seasons of life together and learning how to navigate through the good and the bad, I wouldn’t feel as confident. It was important for us to know that this was what we wanted for the rest of our lives. I’m happy we waited. But now we’re good to go!”

The duo have kept busy since Rodgers received Fletcher’s final rose in 2016. They marked their return to reality television in July with the premiere of their new CNBC show Cash Pad, which follows the couple as they renovate and flip houses across the US.

They also just bought their first home together in Dallas—and it happens to be big enough for a future family. “That was definitely in the thought process,” Fletcher told Us Weekly of their plans to have kids in the years to come.

Fletcher and Rodgers first met on Season 12 of The Bachelorette. Not only did Rodgers receive Fletcher’s “First Impression Rose,” he remained a frontrunner throughout the season. The couple got engaged in Thailand in 2016.
