Gabby Windey ended her time as The Bachelorette in ideal form, aka an engagement to Erich Schwer (and his mullet). While Erich and Gabby’s relationship was pretty much smooth sailing on the show, there was a bunch of drama that almost changed everything. Now, just days after Gabby gave a cryptic answer about where she and Erich stand, it's been confirmed that they did, indeed, call their 'ship quits. Gabby confirms that she and Erich have split. Speaking to her partner Val Chmerkovskiy during DWTS rehearsal, Gabby says “The end of our relationship happened because we weren’t completely in step and in sync with each other in our common goals or just the way we approach life."
She adds “weren’t each other’s best match" and says "I’m just so grateful that my dad and my stepmom encompass so many fundamentals and values that I look for in a relationship, like never placing blame. I want to channel that kind of everlasting love in this dance."

Multiple sources confirm that Gabby and Erich have ended their 'ship, specifically with Gabby being the one to call things off. "She felt they weren't aligned and weren't on the same page," a source told E! News. "Gabby was hoping they could give each other space and work it out but ultimately decided they didn't have a future."

During a post Dancing With the Stars interview, Gabby is asked, ""Are you guys still together, like, how's everything going?" In response, Gabby says: “Life is just really busy for the both of us right now. So I understand their concern but we’re just kind of, you know, going forward with each of our individual interests and supporting each other from afar."

“After the Final Rose” airs, and Gabby and Erich are engaged! Erich also gets a chance to discuss his ex’s leaked texts, saying, “I led her on and I want to own that. No hard feelings toward this girl at all. I understand her actions....I didn’t want to have a hard conversation. But I’ve learned a lot from it. I want to own that 100 percent. I do not have any hard feelings for this girl. It’s a mistake I made on my part.”

Amid Erich’s leaked text scandal, Reality Steve gets on the phone with his ex for more details, and she says she and Erich met in January 2022 and dated for over two months (Erich also allegedly spent time with her child). He apparently told his ex about going on the show, was apologetic, and bought her roses the day before he left with a note that said “I’ll never stop thinking of you.” Note: At this point, Erich has not publicly responded and neither has Gabby, so tonight’s “ATFR” should be interesting!
