Since The Bachelorette premiered more a decade ago, there have been almost two dozen women who have looked for love. But “which Bachelorette couples are still together?” is the real question.

The Bachelorette premiered in January 2003 as a spin-off of The Bachelor with Trista Rehn as Bachelor Nation’s first female lead. Trista was the runner-up on The Bachelor Season 1 with Alex Michel, and it’s a good thing that Alex didn’t pick her. During The Bachelorette Season 1, Trista met her current husband, Ryan Sutter. They got engaged in the finale and married on Bachelor Nation’s first televised wedding special. Since then, Trista and Ryan have welcomed two children and become one of Bachelor Nation’s most successful couples.

Read on to see which Bachelorette couples are still together and where all of Bachelor Nation’s female leads are now.

The Bachelorette Season 1: Are Trista and Ryan Still Together?

Relationship status: Still together

Trista Rehn was the lead of The Bachelorette Season 1 in 2003, which Ryan Sutter was a contestant on and won. Trista gave her final rose to Ryan over her runner-up, Charlie Maher, at the Final Rose Ceremony, where Ryan proposed to her and the two got engaged. Before The Bachelorette Season 1, Trista was a contestant on The Bachelor Season 1 with Alex Michel, where she was the runner-up.

Trista and Ryan married on December 6, 2003. Their wedding aired in a three-episode TV special titled Trista & Ryan’s Wedding, which was viewed by more than 26 million households. Trista and Ryan welcomed their first child, a son named Maxwell Alston, on July 26, 2007. Their second child, a daughter named Blakesley Grace, was born on April 3, 2009.

In an interview with Us Weekly in 2023, Trista revealed the secret to her and Ryan’s long-lasting marriage. “I feel like when we first got married, the advice that I was giving —at least the people who were coming off of the show — was really focus on your relationship. Enjoy all the things that are coming your way — all the fun invites that you’re getting — [but remember] it’s about your relationship,” she said. “So put that first and we did that in moving to Vail (Colorado) and really prioritizing him and me.”

She continued, “We prioritized ourselves and our relationship and now I feel like [the advice is] similar. It’s the same. You constantly have to prioritize your relationship, especially when you have kids because they kind of take over, you know, as they should. But your relationship with your significant other, I feel like is the foundation of your family and should be the most important. … Have fun together, enjoy life together, make time for each other.”

She also looked back on her two-plus decades in Bachelor Nation. “It was a little shocking, thinking that it’s 20 years because we’re just living life, you know?” she said. “And it is kind of crazy to think that that’s how we met it. You have to remind yourself sometimes because we are just a normal couple. 20 years ago, it feels a little like [a long time ago and like yesterday]. I feel like I met him yesterday, but at the same time I look at my kids who are taller than me now and think, ‘Yeah, that didn’t happen yesterday.’”

The Bachelorette Season 2: Are Meredith & Ian Still Together?

Relationship status: Not still together

Meredith Phillips was the lead of The Bachelorette Season 2 in 2004, which Ian McKee was a contestant on and won. Meredith gave her final rose to Ian over her runner-up, Matthew Hickl, at the Final Rose Ceremony, where Ian proposed to her and the two got engaged. Before The Bachelorette Season 2, Meredith was a contestant on The Bachelor Season 4 with Bob Guinney, where she came in fourth place.

Meredith and Ian broke up in February 2005 a year after their engagement on The Bachelorette Season 2. ”Our relationship began with great expectations for a happy ending, but unfortunately things didn’t work out as we had hoped,” they said in a statement to Extra at the time. ”What we experienced together was incredible and we are both sad to see it end. We thank you for your support.”

In an interview with People in 2013, Meredith revealed that she struggled with alcohol abuse after her season of The Bachelorette. “My lowest point was when I realized my mother was in a hospital bed dying of cancer and I was at her house, drinking myself to death,” she said. “I just didn’t care.” She continued, “For years I’d wake up every day feeling like I was hit by a truck. But I realized I was going to kill myself. There wasn’t another path for me other than to stop.”

The Bachelorette Season 3: Are Jen and Jerry Still Together?

Relationship status: Not still together

Jen Schefft was the lead for The Bachelorette Season 3 in 2005, which Jerry Farris was a contestant on and won. Jen and Andrew broke up less than a year after their engagement on The Bachelor Season 3, and Jen went on to become the Season 3 Bachelorette.

Jen and Jerry broke up in The Bachelorette Season 3 “After the Final Rose” special after Jerry proposed to her a second time and she rejected him again, telling him that she wanted to be friends. “I think that you know I was so committed to this — I hope that you know that — and I really tried to make it work, but I think we talked a lot, and we saw each other, and I think that we both came to the realization that we were better as friends,” she said at the time.

Jen married her current husband, Joe Waterman, in 2009. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Mae Elizabeth, in 2010. Their second child, a daughter named Charlotte Grace, was born in 2012.

In an interview with Parade in 2020, Jen responded to claims she “ruined” The Bachelorette after she didn’t accept Jerry’s proposal. “When I turned down Jerry [Ferris]’s proposal on The Bachelorette, people said I ‘ruined’ the show,” she said. “But ultimately, it’s still your life that you have to go live after all is said and done.”

She also explained how she met her current husband. “I was set up on a blind date by one of my friend’s dads with a 24-year-old when I was 31,” she said. “It wasn’t a great date, and he never called me back. But he called about a month later and said that he had another great guy to set me up with! I thought it couldn’t get any worse, so I said, ‘Sure, give him my number.’”

She continued, “At that time, I’d dated some people with fame, or who were interested in my fame. Joe had never seen the show and didn’t care to be in the spotlight. He was a nice, normal, funny, down-to-earth guy…and he was very cute, too.”

Jesse explained in the video that DeAnna broke up with him two days before the clip was recorded and that he felt he did everything he could to “try to make this work.” He also recalled how DeAnna broke up with him. “‘I love you, but I’m not in love with you,’” Jesse recalled DeAnna telling him. “She’s a great person but she wasn’t willing to try anymore … That’s a lot to swallow no matter who you are when you’re in love and you put yourself out there.”

DeAnna married her current husband, Stephen Stagliano, in 2011. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Addison Marie, in 2014. Their second child, a son named Austin Michael, was born in 2016.

Before The Bachelorette Season 6, Ali was a contestant on The Bachelor Season 14 with Jake Pavelka, whree she came in fourth place.

Ali and Roberto broke up in 2011 a year after their engagement on The Bachelorette Season 4. “I wouldn’t be being truthful if I said this came out of nowhere,” Ali told People at the time. “We definitely had been having problems. But I had always believed that we could work it out.” She told the magazine that their issues started when they both moved to San Diego, California, where Roberto started his own insurance office as Ali struggles get her career going as a news correspondent and host for the Style Network. “We were trying to establish ourselves individually,” she said. “But a relationship should be solid regardless of circumstances.”

She continued, “I helped him build his business, and I’d bring him lunch all of the time. I was so supportive of him.” She added, “A lot of times what I wanted to do and what he wanted to do didn’t match up. One of us was always compromising with the other, or we both ended up not doing what we wanted and staying home.” Ali also told People that another major breaking point in her relationship with Roberto was when she had to undergo knee surgery in July 2011. It really affected us,” she said. “I couldn’t really be active like I wanted to be. I hit a low.” She continued, “He would rather be alone on weekends. He’s more introverted. I love being around people and sharing stories and going out to dinner.”

Ali also revealed to People that she kept the $50,000 Neil Lane engagement ring Roberto proposed to her with on The Bachelorette Season 6. “And we both deserved more,” she said. “I just knew that we needed to go separate ways. Something inside both of us said we still had more figuring out to do. We take marriage very seriously. It’s not something we were going to do and just hope it works out.” She continued, “I found real, true love, and I’m grateful that I had that experience. There’s no hate. I still love him, and I always will. But what matters is how we feel, and we both knew it wasn’t right. All of my things are going to be in storage until I figure out what to do. I literally don’t even know where I want to live, never mind what I want to do.”

It is with a heavy heart that I share with you that after months of separation, Ashley and I have amicably decided to live our lives apart from one another.”

He continued, “Please please please know that there is no one to blame, that there’s no event that triggered this decision, that no one is the victim, and that we’ve done absolutely everything we possibly can to try to salvage this marriage.”

He explained that he and Ashley broke up after realizing they were both “two very different people.” “I think we’ve both come to realize that we are just two very different people, with very different personalities and perspectives, who just don’t see eye to eye on a lot life fundamentals, those which are the building blocks for a happy and healthy marriage,” he wrote. “We have created the most beautiful, sweet and loving children, and have created so many unforgettable memories that we’ll always cherish. Our differences, however, have taken a toll on our relationship and after years of attempting to repair the damage, we’ve decided that it is in our family’s best interest live our lives apart.”

He added that he and Ashley planned to co-parent their children “to the best of our ability and to maintain stable and healthy lives for Fordy & Essie.” He concluded, “From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all your love and support throughout the years. Emily gave her final rose to Jef over her runner-up, Arie Luyendyk Jr., at the Final Rose Ceremony, where Jef proposed to her and the two got engaged. Emily and Jef broke up in 2012 less than a year after their engagement on The Bachelorette Season 8. “I am sorry to tell you that Jef and I have, indeed, parted ways,” Emily said in a statement to People at the time. “It was a very difficult and heartbreaking decision.” She continued, “As you know, at first I wasn’t sure that I should even be The Bachelorette, but I am a hopeless romantic and I do believe in the show. I have no regrets because I did find love and shared an incredible journey with a really special person – and you know what, we tried our best because the love between us was so real.

She went on to write, “I have nothing but respect and love for Jef and his family, but ultimately we are just at different points in our lives. I’ve learned so much and I’m grateful for all of the support I’ve received. I’m excited and hopeful for the next chapter in my life with my daughter, Ricki. I do hope that you will respect our privacy and allow us the time we need to heal.”

Jef also released his own statement to People. “Meeting Emily on The Bachelorette was an incredible experience, we’ve had quite the journey. I’ve never loved someone so much in my whole life, Emily is the best person and mom I have ever met. She opened up her world to me and I fell in love with her, [her daughter] Ricki, her family and the Hendricks,” he said. “She has a great group of people who surround her. What we shared was completely genuine and real and it breaks my heart but we have decided to break up.”

He continued, “Emily will always have a special place in my heart. I don’t regret a single second I spent with her or Ricki. They both have been a huge part of my life. Who knows what tomorrow will bring but we are moving on to the next chapter of our lives. Emily and I are great friends and I hope we can continue to be friends forever. The Bachelorette Season 9: Are Desiree and Chris Still Together?

Relationship status: Still together

Desiree Hartsock was the lead of The Bachelorette Season 9 in 2013, which Chris Siegfried was a contestant on and won. Desiree gave her final rose to Chris over her runner-up, Drew Kenney, at the Final Rose Ceremony, where Chris proposed to her and the two got engaged. Before The Bachelorette Season 9, Desiree was a contestant on The Bachelor Season 17 with Sean Lowe, where she came in fourth place.

Desiree and Chris married on January 18, 2015. They welcomed their first child, a son named Asher Wrigley, in 2016. Their second child, a son named Zander Cruz, was born in 2019.

In an interview with Us Weekly in 2021, Desiree revealed what viewers don’t know about rose ceremonies on The Bachelorette. “They’re very, very long. By that point most people are, like, 10 drinks in. You are just tired,” she said, noting that rose ceremonies are “way worse” than what viewers see on TV. “You are exhausted. They pause so long after each rose to pan one people’s faces, so yeah, they are going to get you looking super stressed out, but you are really tired.”

She also told the magazine about how she remembered her contestants’ names. “Everyone, including [the] cameraman, [has] a card with photos of the people with their names on it,” she said. “It was almost, like, a game for myself to see how many I could remember. I think the most I remembered was six at a time. You grab as many names as you remember and then you go out.”

The Bachelorette Season 10: Are Andi and Josh Still Together?

Relationship status: Not still together

Andi Dorfman was the lead of The Bachelorette Season 10 in 2014, which Josh Murray was a contestant on and won. Andy gave her final rose to Josh over her runner-up, Nick Viall, at the Final Rose Ceremony, where Josh proposed to her and the two got engaged. Before The Bachelorette Season 10, Andy was a contestant on The Bachelor Season 18 with Juan Pablo Galavis, where she came in third place.

Andi and Josh broke up in 2015 a year after their engagement on The Bachelorette Season 10. “I don’t generally think of myself as a weak person, but it rocked me. It was heartbreak,” Andi told Nightline in 2016. She also told the program about the moment she and Josh finished filming The Bachelorette Season 10. “I was so comfortable with Josh at that point… It felt like we were there and that everyone else were strangers. But I will say I remember after they yelled, ‘Cut’ … they gave us our cell phones, and the first thing I did was get his number. And I said, ‘Wow, I’m getting my fiancé’s number for the first time.’ … So, things like that are kind of funny,” she said.

She explained that she and Josh broke up because of the “change” she saw in herself around him. “I started to change. I think I blame myself for not standing up for my independence. But [there were] little things, like not being able to see my friends as often or feeling like my whereabouts were kind of always in question,” she said. “I had never felt worse about myself. … I didn’t like who I was. I didn’t like how I felt on a daily basis.”

She also told Nightline about the depression she experienced after her breakup with Josh. “I literally slept until noon every day at which point I would watch TV,” she said. “I’d loaf around [in] yoga pants and [a] smelly t-shirt. I’d drink wine. I was just a loser, in a sense.”

Andi also recalled returning to the home she and Josh shared for the first time after their split. “That, I think, will never escape me — just that feeling of having a home that you shared with someone and just everything be piled up and that feeling of just being disposable,” she said before revealing that she threw everything that reminded her of Josh into the fireplace and set them on fire. “Was it the most mature approach? No, but that’s the point. I think that on TV I always felt this need to be my best, and I wasn’t at my best when I was going through a breakup and that’s just the truth,. Sometimes you have to embrace weakness. You have to recognize that you’re not going to be at your best every single day.”

Andy also told Nightline that she doubted whether her relationship with Josh was real. “I almost don’t want to know whether [what we had] was real because I know what I felt during those eight weeks,” she said. “The day I got engaged was, to this day, the happiest day of my life. I want to deny it in a sense because it didn’t work out, but if I’m being truthful about it, that was the happiest day of my life.”

In his own statement to Nightline, Josh criticized Andi for writing about their breakup in her book, It’s Not Okay. “How is one supposed to comment on a fictional novel? I choose to go through life building others up, not tearing them down. I wish her nothing but the best in her new career,” he said.

Andi married her current husband, Blaine Hart, in 2023.

The Bachelorette Season 11: Are Kaitlyn and Shawn Still Together?

Relationship status: Not still together

Kaitlyn received the most votes, and Britt was sent home.

Kaitlyn and Shawn broke up in 2018 three years after their engagement on The Bachelorette Season 11. “After three incredible years, we have decided to go our separate ways. This difficult decision comes after thoughtful, respectful consideration. Even though we are parting as a couple, we’re very much committed to remaining friends and we will continue to support each other. Due to the nature of how we met, our relationship has always been very public, and we have enjoyed sharing it with all of you, but we ask that you respect our decision and our privacy at this time,” they wrote in a statement at the time.

Kaitlyn started dating Jason Tartick, a contestant from The Bachelorette Season 14 with Becca Kufrin, in 2019. They got engaged in 2021 and broke up in 2023. “After sharing the news with family and close friends first, and taking the time to properly process it ourselves, we are saddened with heavy hearts to share that we have decided to end our engagement,” they wrote in a statement at the time. “We are thankful for all of you who gave us the time and space to process this life-altering decision as there are many emotions and changes to navigate.”

The statement continued, “Our dogs Ramen & Pinot will continue to be cared for together as brothers. While their humans are no longer romantically involved, we will love and take care of them together. Continuing our friendship is incredibly important to both of us. We feel grateful to be ending our engagement with love and respect for each other. It’s heartbreaking and sad to say goodbye, but our care and admiration for one another will never die.”

They concluded their statement, “We are beyond thankful for the memories made together, and for your support of us and the boys throughout the years. Moving forward we will always have that level of support for each other. We don’t know what the future holds so please try to hold space for us in your hearts. Kaitlyn and Jason.”

Cailia Quinn, who came in third place on The Bachelor Season 20, was originally chosen as the Season 12 Bachelorette, however, she was replaced by JoJo after Ben chose Lauren Bushnell at his Final Rose Ceremony and ABC saw how fans reacted to JoJo’s elimination.

JoJo and Jordan married in 2022 six years after their engagement on The Bachelorette Season 12. “I think one thing that we’ve always recognized and don’t shy away from is you’re always going to have to put in the work. You’re always going to have to compromise. It’s always going to be discovering and learning and compromising with your partner,” JoJo told People in 2023 about her marriage with Jordan. She continued, “We obviously took a long time before we got married. We celebrated our six-year engagement anniversary on the Thursday before our wedding.”

She also revealed the secret to her and Jordan’s long-lasting relationship. “In conflict or in a conversation, if you can’t resolve — and you’re realizing you can’t resolve — take five [minutes],” JoJo said. “It’s the easiest thing you can recognize it — sometimes all you need is five minutes to just come back down and realize, ‘Hey, what we’re arguing about is so silly. We’re on the same team here.’” Jordan added, “When you’re not communicating right, it just escalates. You’re missing each other, ‘Wait, no, but you didn’t hear this.’”

The Bachelorette Season 13: Are Rachel and Bryan Still Together?

Relationship status: Still together

Rachel Lindsay was the lead of The Bachelorette Season 13 in 2017, which Bryan Abasolo was a contestant on and won. As the Season 13 Bachelorette, Rachel made history as Bachelor Nation’s first Black lead.

Rachel and Bryan married in 2019 two years after their engagement on The Bachelorette Season 13. “The secret is not being performative,” Rachel told Good Morning America in 2022 about the secret to her and Bryan’s long-lasting relationship. “You come off the show … and a lot of times you feel like you have to perform for the audience, or you have to perform for social media.”

She continued, “For Bryan and I, we immediately left the show and immersed ourselves in each other’s realities. He moved to Dallas for me. We connected with our family, our friends. We built that circle of trust of people who know us and who love us. That established a really strong foundation for us at the very beginning.” She added, “We just need to be there for each other and to understand each other, because no one knows the relationship like we do.”

The Bachelorette Season 14: Are Becca and Garrett Still Together?

Relationship status: Not still together

Becca Kufrin was the lead of The Bachelorette Season 14 in 2018, which Garrett Yrigoyen was a contestant on and won. Becca gave her final rose to Garrett over her runner-up, Blake Horstmann, at the Final Rose Ceremony, where Garrett proposed to Becca and the two got engaged. Before The Bachelorette Season 14, Becca was a contestant on The Bachelor Season 22 with Arie Luyendyk Jr., where she was the winner and got engaged. Becca and Arie broke up less than a year after their engagement on The Bachelor Season 22 after Arie got back together with his runner-up, Lauren Burnham, and Becca went on to become the Season 14 Bachelorette.

Becca and Garrett broke up in 2020 two years after their engagement on The Bachelorette Season 14. Their split came after Garrett’s controversial comments on Instagram about Black Lives Matter. “I don’t think it’s going to come as a shock to anyone, but Garrett and I have decided to end our engagement,” Becca said on an episode of her podcast, “Bachelor Happy Hour,” at the time. “After many conversations, we came to this decision. It wasn’t something that we just arrived at one night. It wasn’t based solely off of one Instagram post or somebody else’s opinions or comments. There’s much more to it. To any relationship, there’s a lot of layers, and it’s not for me to divulge details. It’s no one’s business other than what I’m telling you right now.”

Rachel and Tino broke up in 2022 less than a year after their engagement on The Bachelorette Season 19. Their split came after Rachel accused Tino of cheating on her by kissing another woman after The Bachelorette Season 19 finale filmed. “He’s never been like, ‘What I did was horrible, I messed up, I’m so sorry.’ It’s never been like that. It was just, ‘I love you so much, I really see you as my future, and I want us to work on this.’ That’s like if we just had a random fight,” Rachel said during the “After the Final Rose” special.

During thespecial, Tino confessed he “kissed” a woman he met before The Bachelorette Season 19 started filming. “The moment I did [it], I knew I belonged with you,” he told Rachel. Tino then accused Rachel of refusing to go to therapy and wanting to give her engagement ring back. Tino also claimed he didn’t want to “circle back on past stuff,” which is when Rachel accused him of doing more than kissing the other woman, which he denied.

Rachel told People after The Bachelorette Season 19 finale that she had no plans to get back together with Tino after he cheated on her. “I obviously still believe in love and I really know it’ll come along when it’s ready,” Rachel said. “I am looking forward to this time to myself and to be able to reflect on everything and move forward.” Rachel also told People that the main reason she ended her engagement with Tino wasn’t the infidelity but his dishonesty around it. “When I did sit down with him, I didn’t see much of him owning up to his actions or feeling sorry,” Rachel said. “I was still hitting lie after lie. And I just don’t know if I can continue a relationship when I don’t feel like there’s trust. I know that isn’t what I deserve.”

Gabby and Erich broke up in 2022 less than a year after their engagement on The Bachelorette Season 19. A source told E! News at the time that Gabby was the one who broke up with Erich because they “weren’t on the same page.” “She felt they weren’t aligned and weren’t on the same page,” the insider said. “Gabby was hoping they could give each other space and work it out but ultimately decided they didn’t have a future.”

On an episode of Dancing With the Stars 31, which Gabby was a contestant on, in November 2022, Gabby confirmed her breakup with Erich and revealed that the two broke up because of a difference in their “common goals” and how they “approach life.” Gabby also hinted that she broke up with Erich because of the “blame” he would put on her during their relationship. “For me, [love] holds a special place because I did just go through a break up,” she said. “The end of our relationship happened because we weren’t completely in step and in sync with each other on our common goals or just the way we approach life. We weren’t each other’s best match.” She continued, “But I’m just so grateful that my dad and my stepmom encompass so many fundamentals and values that I look for in a relationship: never placing blame or you did this or that. OK, someone left the microwave dirty. But, like, it doesn’t matter. … I want to channel that kind of everlasting love in this dance.”

Gabby started dating her current girlfriend, Robby Hoffman, in 2023. “I always just want to live my truth, and my story,” she said on The View at the time. “And I have been seeing someone for a couple months, and I’ve been keeping it a little more private because it is a bigger story and a bigger conversation, because I’m dating a girl!” She continued, “Knowing how people cared, I just want to be honest. I don’t want to live and not be living my full truth. I don’t want to do it to myself or my girlfriend or other people who really care about me and feel like they know me.”

Gabby explained on The View that she wanted to announce her girlfriend and sexuality on the talk show because her “story has been told for [her] so many times being on TV with editing and production.” “Obviously, I was on dating shows dating men and a Broncos cheerleader, so it was like my whole world was male-gaze. [So] it took me a while to stop questioning and just start trusting and I’m fully trusted and I’m here,” she said. “I think that’s really the big takeaway is, like, maybe it’s not so much — like obviously it’s about sexuality, but it’s also the person I met. She is so special. She makes me feel so safe, so loved.” Gabby also described her relationship with Robby as “a love that I always wanted going on these dating shows.”
