'Bachelorette' Alum Blake H. Shares Insane Video After Dog Drove Into His House

This is a story about a good dog who did a bad thing.

Bachelorette Season 14 alum Blake Horstmann stunned fans when he shared a video on his social media pages showcasing the destruction his dog reportedly caused when he got behind the wheel of a car.

“Turns out my dog is a terrible driver,” he captioned the TikTok and Instagram clip, which shows a pick-up truck backed into the wall of a living room.

Debris and drywall pieces can be seen scattered throughout the room, including on the fireplace and the leather sofa.

The video, set to the tune of the Home Depot beat (which is where he’ll be spending a lot of time and money to fix this mess), features a block of text with a “lesson-learned” warning: “Hey kids… just a friendly reminder not to let your dogs in the driver's seat.”

As the comments began pouring in, everyone seemed to have the same question: “how does this even happen?!”

Blake clarified in the comments, writing: “Everyone is ok and safe! My dads dog jumped in the car when he got home and hit the accelerator. Sh** happens I suppose.”

However, fans were not convinced, and they wanted more clarity. “We need a story time,” one TikTok user wrote. Adam Gottschalk, a contestant on Season 13 of The Bachelorette, emphasized: “No way this is real! You need to post a story about it.”

Fellow Bachelorette contestant Jason Tartick commented: “This is NUTTY.”

Others expressed concern for the pup, with one noting, “idk if this is insensitive - but is the dog ok?” while another added that the destruction “feels like golden retriever behavior.”

Hunter Montgomery, who was a contestant on Season 17 of The Bachelorette, also asked about the dog’s wellbeing in the comments, to which Blake replied that “she is just grounded for a month.”

Former Bachelorette lead Kaitlyn Bristowe attempted to look on the bright side, writing, “Omggg every dog has its day. Glad everyone is safe.”

Others used dog puns for a more lighthearted approach to the situation, noting that the dog did not have her “pawmit” to drive and that she forgot to use the “pawking break.”

The video was also shared on Reddit, where the thread lent itself to a discussion about the cost of repairs, with one user adding that the “lead time for lumber” alone means the clean-up will take a very long time.

We’re just glad everyone is okay and we hope the family has a good fixer-upper on speed dial!
