Former 'Bachelor' star Melissa Rycroft is opening up on Instagram about getting sick after a recent trip to the Dominican Republic.

Numerous reports have emerged in recent weeks of tourists falling ill and even dying while vacationing in the Dominican Republic. According to USA Today, a total of seven Americans have died on the island in 2019. There have been other reports of people getting super sick after staying at different resorts, USA Today reports. According to CNN, the FBI has gotten involved in figuring out the cause.

After her trip, Melissa posted a photo of her sitting on a table at her doctor's office on Instagram last week:

"After a really rough week, I have been put on a liquid diet, and given meds for my severe cramping. Fingers crossed this goes away in 3 days - doc says next step is a Parasite test if it doesn’t....😳," she wrote.

Yesterday, the former Dancing with the Stars contestant gave an update on her Instagram Stories indicating that doctors were closer to figuring out what was going on.

“Update for everyone asking: More bloodwork done today. Blood pressure was 90/60 so they’re monitoring it,” she wrpte. “New meds are making me feel so much better! Test results by Thursday at the latest! But this is good progress!”

So far, she hasn't posted any other updates.

Here's hoping Melissa gets some relief soon.
