The New ‘Bachelor’ Promo Is Just Like a ’70s Dating Show
The premiere of Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor is less than a month away, and we’re getting some interesting promos while we wait. wait.
Most recently, ABC teased what's in store with a retro trailer for the upcoming season (and we’re getting majors ’70s vibes). In the clip, Pilot Pete gets the Dating Game treatment, complete with groovy music and grainy footage of some of his dates.
“Pilot Pete is taking flight with 30 women,” the voiceover says. “But only one will be his co-pilot!”
And it looks like some of his 30 contestants are taking the whole air travel thing to heart because two of the women can be seen rocking some pilot inspired gear. We’re not kidding. One woman dons a pilot’s cap while another proudly shows off her pilot’s pin.
The retro promo comes just in time for ABC’s December 18th special, Live in Front of a Studio Audience: All in the Family and Good Times. Similar to the network's special in May, this one will feature today's actors recreating episodes of the iconic ’70s sitcoms. So the new Bachelor promo is going to be right at home during the commercial breaks.
The Bachelor premieres Monday, January 6 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
