‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Star Demi Burnett Explained Why She and Kristian Haggerty Don’t Live Together
Demi Burnett from The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise explained why she and Kristian Haggerty haven’t moved in together yet.
There have been rumors that the couple has broken up.
Uhhhh, in case you haven’t been checking Demi Burnett’s Instagram page ever since she got engaged on Bachelor in Paradise, you may have missed the fact that she hasn’t posted about her fiancée Kristian Haggerty since September 19. Because of that, there have been rumors that they split up. Luckily, though, Demi spoke with Us Weekly at a Dick’s Sporting Goods fashion show last night and set the record straight on her and Kristian’s relationship.
First off, Demi wants everyone to know that even though viewers got a glimpse into their relationship on TV, her private life is P-R-I-V-A-T-E. She said, “Every relationship is different and it’s like—I mean in the most respectful way—it’s nobody’s business how our relationship works.”
Then she pointed out that they are really busy and are currently in different states, which explains the lack of posts together. “She’s in Florida, I’m in New York, but we do spend time together,” she said. “Just because we don’t broadcast it doesn’t mean that we’re not together.”

She also took a minute to explain how even though they’re engaged, they don’t live together because that’s what works for them. (Kristian lives in West Hollywood and Demi lives in the Valley, btw.) “We’re not too far apart. I think it’s important to kind of have our space just so, you know, we can develop a normal, very solid, steady relationship,” she added. Plus, for her, she doesn’t think she can have a “successful” relationship if she rushes things, so she is trying to take it slow and definitely isn’t planning a wedding any time soon.
