Without further ado, here is everything you need to know about the newest BiP season so far, from cast, to release date, and general news.

Who gets married on Bachelor in Paradise?

Oh yes, the official BiP trailer teases a tearful a wedding on the beach.

Yes, a couple gets married this season—but it's no one who just met within that three-week span. It's actually Kenny Braasch and Mari Pepin, who met on Bachelor in Paradise season 7, per Reality Steve and Cosmopolitan.

However, their *actual* wedding is in October or November, Steve said.

Who gets engaged on BiP this season?

Reality Steve has said that he’s pretty sure Kat Izzo and John Henry get engaged at the end of the season.

"Kat and John Henry are absolutely together, and I’m pretty sure they got engaged at the end of BIP filming," Reality Steve tweeted in July, along with film footage. "Here is a video of them last Sat night July 8th at Rudee’s in Virginia Beach. Onlookers said they were holding hands and were an obvious couple."

In August, Steve confirmed that Kat and John Henry "definitely" left the show engaged. Plus, some Reddit sleuths dropped news that Kat moved to Asheville, North Carolina two months ago—which is the state John Henry lives in. Interesting!

Who leaves the beach together?

Eliza and Aaron B. leave the show together, but it’s not clear if they get engaged. And since filming ended, Eliza has been back in Germany, while Aaron B. has been in San Diego, Reality Steve wrote.

So, do with that info what you want.

Aven and Kylee are still together.

These two couple up early on in the season, Reality Steve wrote, but he hasn't heard a lot about them after. However, they were both partying on the same boat with a group in San Diego after wrapping, he said.

Rachel Recchia and Brayden Bowers get together.

What better pair than a former Bachelorette and a former Bachelorette villain? Rachel Reccia and Brayden Browers might have a fling in Paradise, according to US Weekly.

Here's Rachel:

And here's Brayden:

Rachel was also involved with Tanner Courtad during filming.

And she will also have a relationship with another contestant, Jordan Vandergriff (who was on Rachel's Bachelorette season)—but time will tell who she ends up with. I'm guessing Brayden is gonna Brayden!

She eventually self-eliminated, per Reality Steve.

Blake Moynes returns to Bach Nation (again), and has a fling with Jess Girod.

In case you aren't familiar with serial contestant Blake Moynes, he got his start on Clare Crawley's season 16 of The Bachelorette.

Then, he randomly appeared on Katie Thurston's season 17—which was extremely controversial—and the pair left engaged. They broke up in October 2021, per PEOPLE.

When he appears on the beach in Paradise, the girls swoon after him, the outlet wrote. Here he is bantering with Jesse:

Blake will get involved with Jess Girod, but he will also self-eliminate at some point, per Reality Steve.

Former Bachelorette Katie Thurston also shows up on the beach.

Yup, Katie confirmed she'd be appearing on the beach during an Instagram Q&A in August, according to PEOPLE. And she sees her ex-fiance Blake. She said it's their "first time seeing/speaking since we split 1.5 years ago." So, for obvious reasons, I'm assuming it'll be an awkward reunion.

Who else is in the Bachelor in Paradise season 9 cast?

The cast list has officially been confirmed, and as always, Reality Steve's educated guesses were mostly right. It definitely looks like some of Charity's men and a lot of former cast mates will be making appearances together. The following people are expected to be in the mix, per ABC:

  • Rachel Recchia (yes, the former Bachelorette from season 19)

  • Greer Blitzer (Zach Shallcross' Bachelor season 27 contestant)

  • Brayden Bowers (Charity Lawson's Bachelorette season 20 contestant a.k.a. the villain)

  • Aaron Bryant (Bachelorette season 20 contestant)

  • Peter Cappio (Bachelorette season 20 contestant)

  • Catherine Carter “Cat” Wong (Bachelor season 27 contestant)

  • Tanner Courtad (Bachelorette season 20 contestant)

  • Jess Girod (Bachelor season 27 contestant)

  • Kat Izzo (Bachelor season 27 contestant)

  • Sam Jeffries (Clayton Echard's Bachelor season 26 contestant)

  • Olivia Lewis (Bachelor season 27 contestant)

  • Aven Jones (Bachelorette season 19 contestant and Rachel Recchia's runner-up)

  • Sean McLaughlin (Bachelorette season 20 contestant)

  • Blake Moynes (Clare Crawley's Bachelorette season 16 contestant and Katie Thurston's Bachelorette season 17 contestant and ex-fiancé!)

  • Mercedes Northup (Bachelor season 27 contestant)

  • Kylee Russell (Bachelor season 27 contestant)

  • Brooklyn Willie (Bachelor season 27 contestant)

  • John Henry Spurlock (Bachelorette season 20 contestant)

  • Eliza Isichei (Bachelor season 26 contestant)

  • Jordan Vandergriff (Bachelorette season 19 contestant)

  • Aaron Schwartzman (Bachelor season 20 contestant)

  • Will Urena (Michelle Young's Bachelorette season 18 contestant)

Former Bachelorette star Rachel Recchia said she would show up on the beach during "Bachelor Happy Hour" back in November if Michelle Young also decided to join, per Insider. So, does that mean Michelle might make an appearance on the beach this season?

Plus, according to the teaser trailer, Hannah Brown and even Charity Lawson will make appearances. However, considering the former Bachelorettes are still in relationships, it's safe to assume they'll only be making some sort of cameo. Steve confirmed that Rachel is the only former Bachelorette who will be actually competing in the show.

When was Bachelor in Paradise Season 9 filmed?

This season was filmed around June 6, per Reality Steve. "Bachelor in Paradise starts filming the same time it does every year: basically the 6th/7th of June," he revealed in a May 2023 podcast episode. And it takes between 21 and 24 days to wrap, he continued.

When is Bachelor in Paradise Season 9 premiering?

In May, ABC confirmed that BiP would be coming in the fall of 2023, and the official premiere date is Sept. 28, 2023.

The first episode will come on after the first Golden Bachelor episode, from 9 to 11pm EST. In case you didn't notice, that's a Thursday. Bye, bye Bachelor Mondays.

Is Jesse Palmer still the host?

Yup! Jesse Palmer will be returning as a host for the second year in a row, per Hollywood Life. Sarah Hyland's husband, Wells Adams, will also be returning as the official Bachelor in Paradise bartender.

Wells posted on Instagram in June that filming for BiP was well underway (and he was having trouble understanding some Gen Z lingo—I get you, Wells!)

Where does it take place?

BIP always films in Playa Escondida in Sayulita, Mexico, and there’s been nothing to indicate it will be shot anywhere else. So it looks like this crew will once again fall in love on the sun-kissed sand.

Who is the first to get eliminated?

While no one can be sure of exactly what happens, there are some spoilers that point towards certain contestants making an early exit.

According to Reality Steve, the men give out the roses at the first rose ceremony and three women are immediately eliminated. Time to say your goodbyes to Greer Blitzer, Brooklyn Willie, and Cat Carter.

BTW, you probably already noticed, but all three of these women are from Zach Shallcross’ dumpster fire season. They really can't catch a break!

Where can I watch Bachelor in Paradise?

As with any Bachelor Nation franchise, you can stream Bachelor in Paradise live on ABC Thursdays (starting September 28) at 9 p.m. EST or catch it the next day on Hulu.

Make sure to come back here for more updates as episodes drop. You'll be caught up on all the big moments before all your friends. Thanks, Reality Steve!
