Bachelor Nation’s Reaction to Susie Evans Taking Clayton Echard Back Is...Mixed

Uh...surprise: Clayton Echard and Susie Evans are dating. And as the newly reminted couple predicted during a slightly awkward interview with Jesse Palmer on The Bachelor’s live finale, the reaction in Bachelor Nation to them getting back together is...mixed. In case you missed last night and are wondering how...this...happened, apparently, Susie reached out to Clayton after Iceland and they started “rebuilding” their foundation. Fast-forward four months and not only are they dating, Clayton sold his condo, quit his job, and is about to move to Virginia with Susie.

“I left Iceland, and I had to make that decision for myself. It was the best decision I could have made,” Susie explained to Jesse Palmer during the live show. “I always had love for Clayton. I always had love in my heart. I loved him as a person before he ever fell in love with him.…He’s incredible and we all make mistakes and we both made mistakes on this journey but we both have so much love for each other.”

Clayton also revealed that he never stopped telling Susie he loved her the most, musing to People, “I was telling her that I loved her, and I said you don’t have to...just tell me when you’re ready to say it, but I’m going to tell you because I never fell out of love with you. She actually slipped up on the phone for the first time. She was waiting to tell me in person, and she said it on the phone.”
