Bachelor Nation Exclusive: Jordan Rodgers’s Re-Proposal to JoJo Fletcher Didn’t Go as Planned & Here’s Why

Jordan Rodgers’s re-proposal to JoJo Fletcher might look picture-perfect on Instagram, but when it came to the surprise, the sports commentator, 31, confirmed that it didn’t go as planned.

Rodgers recently sat down for an exclusive interview with PureWow, where he discussed the moment he popped the question (again) to the former Bachelorette, 28. “It was a nightmare,” he laughed.

It all started two days before the re-proposal when Rodgers went behind Fletcher’s back and booked a trip to Nashville to retrieve the all-new engagement ring from his friend. However, things took a turn for the worse when his flight was delayed, nearly giving away his fake alibi.

“I was trying to play out this little white lie that I had to JoJo that I was in the studio,” he said. “She couldn’t know I was going to Nashville. I had no reason to go there.”

Of course, Rodgers eventually made it to Nashville with just enough time to make his return flight home to Los Angeles. (#MissionAccomplished)

“I got no sleep the day before the proposal,” he continued. “Nothing went as planned, but that was fun. That was real. That’s what people go through when there’s not a TV there and producers and everything planned out.”

Rodgers went on to say that he enjoyed the realness of proposal number two, adding, “I kind of felt what it was like for probably 99% of everybody else that does the proposal. It never goes exactly how it’s supposed to, but that’s kind of the perfection in it. And that’s what meant so much to me.”

In addition to his upcoming wedding, Rodgers is also promoting his all-new partnership with CheapTickets, an online travel site that helps football fans across the country find the best games and travel deals on a budget. Busy, busy, Jordan.

On the bright side, Rodgers’s nearly ruined proposal makes for a fantastic story.
