Before a season of The Bachelor or The Bachelorette is even over, we're already stan-ing contestants to take over as the next lead in the franchise (#TreWasRobbed). Before ABC *officially* announces anything, large portions of Bachelor Nation turn to BN tea-master Reality Steve for intel. Steve has already dished predictions for the next Bachelor lead and, although nothing is offish, Bachelor franchise creator Mike Fleiss took to Twitter with some cryptic responses to the ~rumors~.

If you're intent on keeping you brain clear of any and all potential Bach-related spoilers, then turn back now, because there are plenty of them if you keep scrolling.

So first thing's first, we need to start by establishing which contestant Reality Steve's insider sources are saying is getting ready to pass out roses—none other than Greg Grippo.

Greg's turn on Katie's season was met with very mixed reactions. Some people loved him and his aw-shucks-shy-guy vibes, while others felt like that was an act...especially when it came out that he had trained at a prestigious acting school, a piece of his personal history that he appeared to have gone out of his way to scrub from his socials ahead of his appearance on the show. Still others didn't really care if the shy guy vibe was real or not because they felt like Greg engaged in emotional manipulation or even gaslighting during his and Katie's televised (and very dramatic) breakup.

On Thursday, Reality Steve tweeted that his sources seemed pretty darn sure we're headed for a Greg-led season of The Bachelor.

"What I’ve been hearing the past 5 days or so regarding the next Bachelor are this…been told it’s going to be Greg. Obviously it’s never 'official' until ABC announces it (whenever that may be), but at this point I would be very surprised if it’s not him," he wrote at the beginning of a thread about the news.

While Steve acknowledged the objections that many Bachelor and Bachelorette fans would have to the casting news, he didn't waver on his certainty about the reports he was hearing.

"He’s a polarizing figure that will have people talking, which is what they want," Reality Steve wrote. "But by all accounts and everything I’m being told, he’s your next Bachelor so, I guess let’s get the hot take machine fired up. Because here they come in full force."

Just a few hours later, Fleiss (who can't possibly not follow Reality Steve, right?) tweeted about the reports. While he made a point not to confirm anything, he also didn't really deny anything?

"Major announcement regarding #TheBachelor !!! No official decision has been made… Stay tuned," the producer tweeted (along with an inexplicable plug for a gluten-free beer brand).

Less than an hour later, he tweeted again, adding, "These decisions regarding our next #TheBachelor are complicated," (again, with a weird, sponcon-y beer plug).

Cryptic, right? On Friday night, Fleiss upped the ante in another followup tweet, promising that the next Bachelor choice was going to "solve all of the word's problems" and, perhaps even less plausibly, "unite Bachelor Nation."

This, of course, implies that the next Bachelor lead has indeed been chosen. We'll be casually/obsessively refreshing Reality Steve's Twitter feed until more info is available if anyone needs us.
