‘The Bachelor’ Contestant Kaity Biggar Is A Former Figure Skater

Whether you love him or feel meh about him, Zach Shallcross’ season of The Bachelor premieres tonight—and there’s already quite a bit to dish over.
The premiere episode of The Bachelor is, IMO, the best because it allows the contestants to be absurd, fun, or totally sweet with their first impression. And thanks to Reality Steve's intensive reporting, Bach Nation already knows who will make waves this season. According to Steve, 10 women will get sent home in the first episode.
So, who exactly are the gals to keep an eye on? I want to dive into one in particular, who seems like she has great potential to break Zach’s heart (or fall in love with him, I guess!): Kaity Biggar.
Kaity's looking for her 'Prince Charming.'
It seems Kaitlyn "Kaity" Biggar will take her time on The Bachelor very seriously. According to her biography on ABC, she’s on the show to look for her “forever Prince Charming.”
Kaity must be fearless because she loves roller coasters ("LOVES them, like looooves them"), and isn’t afraid to slide into the DMs.
She says she's down to earth, but also has a great sense of humor. All great qualities! Hopefully her comedic streak helps her through the drama this season brings.
She's 28—and a Scorpio.
Even though her ABC bio says she's 27, the contestant recently wrote to WH that she turned 28 in November (which also means she's a Scorpio). That makes her older than Zach (who’s 26 and a Leo).
Kaity is from Canada.
Kaity is originally Canadian, and was born in Kingston, Ontario. However, she currently lives in Austin, Texas for work. According to his LinkedIn, Zach also currently works as a technology sales executive in Austin. Interesting.
She's a travel nurse.
Kaity’s IG bio (you can follow her @kaityylane) says she’s a travel nurse. However, ABC reports she’s an ER nurse. She very well could be both, as traveling nurses typically go where nurses are needed. It also seems from her IG feed that Kaity also likes to travel, so that would check out!
She's a total foodie
Kaity recently wrote to WH that she considers herself a big foodie. She loves trying out new restaurants in Austin. According to Axios, some of her faves include Terry Black’s BBQ, Aba, Launderette, and Red Ash.
If you follow Kaity on IG, you'll likely see a few restaurants pop up in her stories from time to time.
Kaity's always been sporty.
In her free time, Kaity likes swimming (but does get scared of sharks) and she grew up figure skating. She also recently wrote to WH that she loves Pilates and hiking.
She wants kids one day.
Her goal after finding love? Starting a family. If that’s not on Zach’s to-do list too– it’s a deal breaker for Kaity.
How far does Kaity make it on 'The Bachelor'?
Warning: spoilers ahead!
Kaity is a front runner on this season, for sure. She scores a 1-on-1 date pretty early on in the season (and receives a rose afterward) According to Reality Steve, she makes it to the hometown round (meaning she'll be at least in the final four of contestants.)
Reality Steve also reported everyone eliminated on this season up to the final three, and Kaity is not listed as one of them. Hmm. Maybe Kaity will find her forever Prince Charming soon.
