Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. Marries Fiancée Lauren Burnham in Hawaii Wedding: All the Details

Janu-Arie has finally arrived. On Saturday, January 12, former Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. married his fiancée Lauren Burnham in Maui, Hawaii, before an intimate group of family members and friends.

The couple shared the first photo from the sunset nuptials with Us Weekly. In the year leading up to the ceremony, the TV personalities teased various elements of the festivities, telling The Knot that it would be an “enchanting, magical, sunset evening wedding.”

The venue, an old converted sugarcane factory called Haiku Mill, is captivating for its ivy-colored walls and historic aesthetic. “I moved from Virginia to Arizona and we were Googling places all over the world, and this picture of this venue kept popping up and popping up,” Burnham revealed last October at The Knot Gala. “We kept coming back to that one and it was like, ‘OK. I think this is the venue. Let’s go for it.’”

“It felt a little bit like a sign because every time we would see a picture, we were like, ‘Oh my God it’s beautiful,’” Luyendyk added in the same conversation. “And it was the same venue. It’s a very classic elegant venue When you think about a Hawaiian venue, this is an old sugar mill repurposed with the greenery.”

Burnham, who is expecting the couple’s first child together, wore an ethereal gown by bridal designer Hayley Paige. Longtime Bachelor host Chris Harrison was also there to support the couple on their special day. (“I better be sitting front and center at Arie’s wedding,” Harrison previously told Us Weekly.)

The couple’s love story started off controversially after its as revealed during Luyendyk’s finale special that he had dumped his final pick, Becca Kufrin, for his runner-up Burnham after proposing in Peru. The breakup was filmed for live television, sparking backlash from viewers who deemed the split uncomfortable and a little-too-public, even for reality television. Kufrin, however, is now engaged to her final pick on the Bachelorette.

It was during the After the Final Rose special in January 2018 that Luyendyk proposed to Burnham on stage. “I think we’ve learned how we solve problems. We lean on each other,” the race car driver told The Knot last fall. “She senses when I’m stressed out about something and she’s really good about working with me through that. And that also goes with wedding planning too.”

“I think if we were able to get married tomorrow, we would,” Burnham said. “We’re just really happy with each other and we vibe well together. We’re best friends, so we’re just ready for that next step.”
