Ayesha Curry is making it clear that she’s not afraid to mix things up.
On Sunday, the 31-year-old revealed a new blonde hairstyle on Instagram in a short video with her husband, NBA star Steph Curry, smiling proudly in the background.
“Mom goes blonde (temporarily),” she captioned the clip.
Celebrity friends shared their admiration for the cookbook author’s new hairstyle. “Okkkkkk,” Gabrielle Union proclaimed. “Beautiful,” singer Ciara commented. “LOOKS AMAAAAAAZING and now making me wanna go blonde,” musician Chloe Flower added.
Of course, though, the trolls sounded off as well — but Steph had her back.
“You beautiful baby. And don’t you let anybody tell you different ok? I mean it. There’s just a bunch of meanies out there and I don’t like it. I don’t like it one bit. Do you boo boo. P.S. If the wig falls off I won’t tell anybody, I promise. Pinky promise It be hilarious though, but won’t anybody know. Wait, that’s been you in this bed that whole time??? I ain’t even know. Now I’m tripping,” he commented.
In the past, Ayesha has been open about her struggles with self-esteem, especially as an NBA wife. During an appearance on Red Table Talk in May 2019, the mother of three got candid about how the attention her husband gets affects how she views herself.
“Something that really bothers me and honestly has given me a little bit of a sense of insecurity is the fact that yea, there are like all these women throwing themselves [at him], but me, the past 10 years, I don't have any of that," she said. "I have zero—this sounds weird—but like male attention. So then I begin to internalize it and I'm like, 'Is something wrong with me?'" she continued. "I don't want it, but it would be nice to know that like someone's looking."
