Axel Arigato is paying homage to two Bikini Bottom residents with its latest collaboration with Nickelodeon. Revealed on Monday, the Swedish luxury brand is releasing new shoes inspired by SpongeBob SquarePants and Squidward.
Both styles use the brand’s Dice Lo silhouette as a canvas, adding printed profile pictures of the characters on the upper. The SpongeBob sneaker is all white, while the Squidward comes in white and green. They also include co-branded tongue detailing and an inner sole that features each of the characters.

Handcrafted from leather, suede and recycled polyester, the low-top sneakers are now available for $345 in both men’s and women’s sizes in-store in London and Paris and at axelarigato.com. The shoes come with unique co-branded packaging, according to the brand.
Axel Arigato has experience when it comes to collaborating with other designers and pop-culture phenomenons such as “SpongeBob SquarePants.” In the past, the brand has released collections with Keith Harring Studio and “Pokémon.” In April 2023, Axel Arigato unveiled its collaboration with Mulberry, which included trainers redesigned with Mulberry’s heritage postman’s lock.
Created by Stephen Hillenburg in 1999, Nickelodeon’s “SpongeBob SquarePants” has inspired many footwear collaborations over the years. Puma, Vans, Timberland and Nike have all released silhouettes inspired by the cartoon’s characters. The most recent of them all is a clog inspired by the character Patrick Star, which was announced by Crocs last week.
