An Awkward Meet-Cute Reunites a Single Mom and Pro Football Player in Hallmark's 'Fourth Down and Love'

We're finally into September and autumn will soon be upon us. That means, gorgeous fall leaves and warm fires, everything pumpkin spice, and of course football. In Hallmark Channel's latest Fall into Love movie, a single mom runs into her old college sweetheart who is now a professional football player.

What is Fourth Down and Love about?

Erin Allen (Pascale Hutton) is a single mother to her football-obsessed 12-year-old daughter, Kiera (Sophia Powers), who plays in the town’s junior flag football league. At Keira’s football practice, Erin runs into the coach’s brother and professional football player, Mike Hanson (Ryan Paevey). Erin and Mike are blindsided—they were college sweethearts. Mike is visiting his brother, Jimmy (Dan Payne), while healing from a football injury that diminishes his chances of achieving his dream of finally getting a championship ring. When Jimmy gets the call to coach the high school team, Mike steps up as the flag football coach. As Erin and Mike spend time together, old sparks are rekindled despite Erin’s hesitance. Right before the championship game, Mike receives good news but also an unsettling truth while Erin learns to go after what she wants—and they both learn to follow their hearts.

Meet the cast of Fourth Down and Love

Pascale Hutton (Erin)

Pascale Hutton is best known to Hallmark fans as Rosemary Coulter on When Calls the Heart. Currently in its tenth season, Hutton's character was once hated by fans but has since become a fan favorite after it was clear Rosemary no longer had romantic feelings for Jack (Daniel Lissing) and only had eyes for Lee (Kavan Smith). Hutton has appeared in several Hallmark movies including My One and Only, You Had Me at Aloha, and The Perfect Bride. She previously led the Canadian series, Arctic Air.

Ryan Paevey (Mike)

General Hospital alum Ryan Paevey has starred in plenty of fan favorite movies on Hallmark Channel including Unleashing Mr. Darcy, A Timeless Christmas, and Two Tickets to Paradise. The motorcycle enthusiast is also an avid jewelry craftsman.

Dan Payne (Jimmy)

Payne has appeared in several holiday movie including Must Love Christmas, Christmas She Wrote, and Christmas on Candy Cane Lane. He has also guest starred on such shows as Watchmen, Virgin River, and Family Law.
