Merkin Vineyards tasting room at the corner of Stetson Drive and Sixth Avenue in Old Town Scottsdale closed after a final service on April 21.

Maynard James Keenan, lead singer of the Puscifer, Tool and A Perfect Circle opened the Scottsdale tasting room in 2019 to offer a taste of his Verde Valley and Willcox wines from Merkin Vineyards and Caduceus Cellars.

In addition to wine by the bottle, glass and flights, the tasting room also offered a food menu of pasta, pizzas, salads, charcuterie boards and desserts.

On April 17, Merkin Vineyards posted a photo of the owner on Instagram, where the caption invited everyone to come celebrate the owner's 60th birthday at the Old Town tasting room. But as of April 22, the establishment closed permanently.

According to a statement from Merkin Vineyards, the lease on the Old Town Scottsdale’s tasting room ended, but they are "actively working to relocate the tasting room to a new site in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area."

In the meantime, fans will have to make the trek to Cottonwood to visit Caduceus Cellars and Four 8 Wineworks' tasting room, Merkin Vineyards Hilltop Winery & Trattoria, Four 8 Fried Chicken and VSC Ventura Room, which offers private wine and dining experience.
