The award-winning singer covered Shania Twain's "No One Needs To Know," and it may just be better than the original.
Avril Lavigne just covered "No One Needs To Know" by Shania Twain, and it's so good, it'll give you chills.
The recent Hollywood Walk of Fame Star recipient took the stage last night during the 15th Academy of Country Music Honors awards show and surprised viewers with her own euphonious rendition of the song, which originally appeared on Twain's Grammy-winning album, The Woman in Me.
Shortly after the performance aired, the academy shared a clip of the mesmerizing TV moment via TikTok.
"EVERYONE needs to know that @Avril Lavigne lights up the stage with her performance of 'No One Needs To Know' honoring @Shania Twain 💖," the caption read.

The now-viral video has garnered all sorts of reactions from fans of both award-winning artists.
"Aww, well done, Melissa," one sarcastic fan commented in reference to a conspiracy theory–which Lavigne recently mocked on TikTok–that claims the "real" Avril Lavigne passed away and, without anyone knowing, was replaced with an alternate named Melissa, who is simply posing as the artist.
Another user, not buying into the idea that this isn't the real Avril, gave credit where credit is due. "My fave Shania song & Avril does it better!," they exclaimed.
"I thought that was Shania when I heard her voice!" wrote another.
After seeing the clip, others begged for Lavigne to release a studio country album.
One even tagged the singer as they tried to sway her into switching it up for her next album: "Omg. Yes. Pls do a country album @Avril Lavigne."
"wow I did not see this coming I love this amazing," another admitted.
And only super-fans would know this, but this isn't Lavigne's first attempt at wowing audiences with country music–nor is it her first time performing a Shania Twain song.
The 37-year-old singer rose to fame shortly after winning a local radio competition in 1999, where the winner would get the opportunity to perform live alongside Shania Twain (now 57) at Corel Centre in Ottawa, Canada.
"My dad heard that you could submit a tape of yourself singing a Shania Twain song, called 'What Made You Say That,' which was one of her old albums before she was really successful. I entered the contest and I won!" Lavigne told Faces Magazine back in 2013.
At the time of her performance, Lavigne was merely a teenager–14, to be exact. And just three years later, Lavigne returned to the Corel Centre; but this time, for her own sold-out show, as per the outlet.
To this day, the two remain close friends and have posed for photos together at award shows and been spotted celebrating together with friends. We hope this means one day, maybe, we'll get a cross-over album from the iconic duo!
