Avocados Recalled in 6 States After Potential Listeria Contamination
Henry Avocado Corporation is voluntarily recalling their California-grown conventional avocados (also sold under the name “Bravocados”) and organic avocados after potential Listeria contamination. The avocados in question were grown and packed at Henry Avocado’s packing facility in California and sold in bulk at retail stores in Arizona, California, New Hampshire, Florida, North Carolina, and Wisconsin. Avocados imported from Mexico are not affected by the recall.
According to a statement released by the company, “Henry Avocado is issuing this voluntary recall out of an abundance of caution due to positive test results on environmental samples taken during a routine government inspection at its California packing facility. There are no reported illnesses associated with this recall."

If you’ve consumed an avocado from Henry’s Avocados and/or are experiencing symptoms such as fever, muscle aches, nausea, or diarrhea, you should contact your physician immediately.
All affected products have reportedly been removed from store shelves. If you have already purchased recalled avocados, do not eat them. Henry Avocados says to discard them or return them to your place of purchase for a full refund.
