Whether you just finished watching Avatar: The Last Airbender a while ago or you're thinking about doing another marathon, things will certainly look different.

Netflix announced that the show will now be airing in HD on the streamer several weeks after Avatar: The Last Airbender was added.

"Avatar: The Last Airbender is now available in HD so if you want to see every glorious fiber of Appa’s fur, now is the time. And if you haven’t watched Avatar yet what are you doing why are you like this."

One Twitter user showed the difference between the original version that Netflix used, likely from the show's DVDs, and the updated HD animation.

While fans we're probably wondering if this would change the aspect ratio, the show is still shown in 4:3, the same way it originally aired and was added to Netflix.

Avatar: The Last Airbender continues to be a big hit with Netflix users as they continue to watch the series, including some first time viewers. ATLA became the number one most viewed television show or movie on Netflix within the first week that it was released. It has continued to stay in the Netflix top 10 even several weeks later.

Unfortunately, fans who were hoping to hear about the sequel series, The Legend of Korra coming to Netflix will have to wait a little bit longer. It is currently available on Amazon Prime video under the NickHits channel.

Netflix is also currently working on a live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender. A release date has not been announced yet.
