How Austin Butler responded to question about girlfriend Kaia Gerber's ex, Jacob Elordi

Austin Butler just gracefully responded to a question about girlfriend Kaia Gerber's ex-boyfriend Jacob Elordi on the Golden Globes red carpet.

Award season is finally upon us, kicking off with the 2023 Golden Globes last night. As well as the likes of Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt walking the red carpet, Austin Butler from Elvis also graced the occasion with his presence.

Before going on to win the gong for the Best Actor In A Drama for his performance in Baz Luhrmann's 2022 movie, the 31-year-old was asked if he had any advice for 25-year-old Jacob Elordi from Euphoria, who will also play Elvis Presley in a Sofia Coppola film about the late icon.

"I just wish him all the best, " Austin told Variety. "We haven't spoken but I wish him all the best."

As fans have picked up on, the chances are, the pair haven't spoken because Austin's current girlfriend, model Kaia Gerber, used to date Jacob. The pair were first linked in September 2020 and were together for a year - even dressing as Elvis and wife Pricilla Presley in that time for Halloween - before they called it quits.

A month later in October 2021, Kaia and Austin were linked, later going Instagram official and walking the red carpet at the 2022 Met Gala. The pair are still together now, most recently going viral when Austin was spotted being the ultimate Instagram boyfriend, taking Kaia's pool pics on holiday.

What a classy response, Austin!
