Ever since their love square with Shep and Olivia, viewers have had questions about if Austen and Taylor are dating from Southern Charm now and if they ever got together after filming ended.

Austen Kroll and Taylor Green are two cast members on Season 9 of Southern Charm, Bravo’s reality TV series following the personal and professional lives of socialites in Charleston, South Carolina. Austen joined Southern Charm in Season 4, while Taylor joined in Season 7.

Austen and Taylor were involved in a scandal in Season 9 when Austen revealed that they had kissed off camera between Seasons 8 and 9. The kiss came after Taylor’s breakup with her Southern Charm co-star and ex-boyfriend, Shep Rose. The hookup also came amid Austen’s romance with his ex and Taylor’s best friend, Olivia Flowers. In an episode of Southern Charm Season 9, Olivia questioned the timeline of Austen and Taylor’s hookup, speculating that it happened while Austen and Olivia were still together. “During this time that she’s saying that they had a conversation, I was in California for three days,” Olivia said in a confessional interview. “And the entire time I was gone, Austen was reaching out to me and telling me to give him another chance. And Taylor was a huge reason why I chose to forgive him. And a week later, he suddenly has a change of heart.”

Are Austen and Taylor dating from Southern Charm? The answer is no. Austen Kroll and Taylor Green aren’t dating after Southern Charm Season 9. Taylor seemed to confirm she and Austen aren’t together now in an interview on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in October 2023. “On a scale from 1 to 10, how much did you hope you and Austen would work out,” host Andy Cohen asked Taylor, to which Taylor responded, “A one.”

Though they aren’t dating, Taylor confirmed that she’s still close friends with Austen after their drama with their exes, Shep Rose and Olivia Olivia Flowers. “We’re still good friends,” she said.

Taylor also confirmed she and Austen aren’t dating in an interview with TV Insider in October 2023, in which she revealed that she has a new boyfriend Gaston, whom she met through her friend and Gaston’s roommate, Southern Hospitality star TJ Dinch. “He is super great. He is like, ‘I want nothing to do with that part of your life. That’s your world. I’m here to listen if you need to cry or vent. I don’t have much advice for you other than it’s going to be OK,’” Taylor said of her boyfriend. “We’ve been busy traveling and at the farm to see my sister and her family We were just in North Carolina for a family reunion. He has been a great support system with all my friends and family.”

In an interview with Us Weekly in September, Austen and Taylor’s Southern Charm co-star, Craig Conover, revealed that he believes there’s “true love” between Austen and Taylor. “I think there’s a true love there,” he said. “I’m not saying that they’re in love, but I think they love each other like brother [and] sister.” He continued, “Austen and Olivia [breaking up] was mostly Austen’s fault that it was weird. Craig went on to note that both Austen and Olivia “were still going through a weird time and they were really close,” which led to their kiss.

Though he doesn’t think Austen and Taylor would date now, Craig told Us Weekly that, if it weren’t for their histories with other cast members, he does think they would’ve gotten together. “In another world, if [Taylor] and Austen had started to date before her and Shep, I think it would’ve been a clean relationship,” Craig said.

Austen’s ex-girlfriend and Southern Charm co-star, Madison LeCroy, agreed.“I do think they would make a good couple,” Madison told Us Weekly in September 2023. “I mean, maybe they’ll just live their life and screw what everybody else thinks. But at the same time, you are hurting a friend.”

2. Did Austen and Taylor sleep together from Southern Charm?

Did Austen and Taylor sleep together from Southern Charm? The answer is no. A production source confirmed to People in March 2023 that Austen and Taylor kissed in the fall of 2022 after filming ended on Southern Charm Season 8 but did not sleep either each other. “They didn’t have sex, just made out,” the insider said. The source also claimed that Austen and Olivia considered dating after their kiss but decided not to because of Taylor’s friendship with Austen’s ex-girlfriend and their Southern Charm co-star, Olivia Flowers. “They thought about dating and took time to think about [it] for a quick sec, talked to their family about it,” the insider said. “But at the end of the day, Taylor said it wasn’t worth losing Olivia’s friendship if her and Austen didn’t work and she was at a low point after [the] reunion.”

Taylor also denied that she and Austen slept together in Southern Charm Season 9. “Swear on my life,” she told Olivia in an episode. She later admitted to kissing Austen. Austen and Taylor’s Southern Charm co-star, Madison LeCroy, however, doesn’t believe the story. “I don’t know if we’ll ever find out the truth,” she told Us Weekly in September 2023. I still have questions.”

Taylor responded to Madison suggesting that she and Austen slept together in an interview with TV Insider in October 2023. “It’s very frustrating, but part of our job to be intertwined and interconnected. Everyone has to be in everyone’s business,” she said. “The frustrating thing was when all that transpired, the only people that were involved were me, Austen, and then Olivia and Shep. The fact that other people are weighing in, it’s not their business. It has nothing to do with them. Why are you trying to get up in this business and create more drama out of it? How do you know anything when I haven’t seen or talked to you? You don’t know the real story.”

She continued, “So, making allegations we slept together. I don’t even think Madison has been to his house. The fact she is saying he doesn’t have a bed in his guest bedroom. He has two guest bedrooms and there are two beds in the guest bedroom. She doesn’t know that. Making allegations when she is not completely involved is very frustrating.”
