Audible Just Opened Its Libraries to Kids While They're Out of School—for Free
Schools may be closed, but Audible is open. Amazon's audiobook service just launched Audible Stories, a free destination offering educational and entertaining children’s and family content.
For families around the globe facing unforeseen circumstances, Audible Stories was created to transport listeners of every reading level even if they're stuck at home. The service's goal, according to its website, is to provide content for kids “that will help them continue dreaming, learning and just being kids.”
Categories include littlest listeners, elementary, tween, teen and literary classics, and titles are currently available in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Mandarin. Some of the hundreds of audiobooks available are Winnie the Pooh, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Jane Eyre, Moby Dick and Grimm’s Fairy Tales.
As we mentioned, the experience is completely free—no log-ins, credit cards or passwords required. Just click, stream and listen to audiobook favorites on your desktop, laptop, phone or tablet.
