Though he’s no longer a Philadelphia Eagle, Rodney McLeod still embraces the spirit of the City of Brotherly Love.
Returning for its fourth year in Philadelphia, the Change Our Future Foundation announced its annual Sneaker Ball event will take place on Thursday, June 20, from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Vie by Cescaphe. A VIP pre-reception will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Rodney and his wife, Erika, started the Change Our Future youth development organization. This organization seeks to remove barriers and labels placed on underserved communities by empowering people through education, advocacy, and awareness. Its annual Sneaker Ball, a staple, raises funds for the organization’s programs and initiatives, including the Youth Leadership Summit, Next Man Up, and STEAM Fusion.
The gala includes live entertainment, a live and silent auction, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, celebratory cocktails, interactive activations, and a luxury sneaker museum. Guests can enjoy a Taste of Philadelphia experience featuring the city’s chefs and restaurants. The live and silent auction will include an Eagles tailgate experience, an Allen Iverson autographed jersey, Tyrese Maxey autographed 76ers basketball, an F1 gift basket, and more. Guests can also mingle with celebrity guests, usually athletes or notable people in the community. Eagles Jason Kelce and Jordan Mailata supported their former teammate in the past years.

At COF, we are making an investment in our young people, knowing that by investing in them, we will receive the greatest return, shaping the leaders of tomorrow.”

When: Thursday, June 20 from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. (VIP experience from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.)
Attire: Upscale, black-tie and encouraged to wear sneakers
