Athletes Announced For Kings And Queens of Corbet's Couloir 2024

One of the best freeride competitions in the world is back and better than ever.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort just announced that Kings & Queens of Corbet's Couloir will take place during a weather window of February 3-10, 2024. Check out the pre-competition hype film titled, 'The Mind Game' below:

The lineup for Kings & Queens is always a who's who of skiing and snowboarding's biggest stars, but this year's lineup feels like they turned it up a notch.

Without further ado, check out the riders below:

Ski Men: Alex Hackel, Alex Hall, Blake Wilson, Colby Stevenson, Karl Fostvedt, Mac Forehand

Ski Women: Claire McPherson, Pipe Kunst, Veronica Paulsen

Snowboard Men: Cam Fitzpatrick, Cooper Branham, Grant Giller, Jack Wiley, Mason Lemery, Sean Miskiman, Torgeir Bergrem, Yuki Kadono

Snowboard Women: Erika Vikander, Sarka Pancochova

Important to remember that Kings & Queens is one of the only freeride competitions in the world that pits skiers and snowboarders against each other.

The prize breakdowns will be as follows:

JMHR also announced that it will award a total of $50,000 in prize money for the 2024 Kings & Queens of Corbet’s competition, and that separate awards will be given for the top male and female performers in both the ski and snowboard categories for the first time in the event’s history.

The winners in each of the four categories will be awarded $5,000, while the second-place finishers will take home $3,000 and the third-place finishers will claim $2,000. JHMR also announced that a $5,000 bonus will be given to the highest-scoring male and female athlete regardless of discipline, and those two competitors will be named the King and Queen of Corbet’s.

I'm personally looking forward to watching Veronica Paulsen give her monster double backflip attempt from last year's comp another shot, and if Colby Stevenson and Claire McPherson can defend their crowns.

Rumor on the chairlift is that POWDER Magazine will be on site to cover Kings & Queens 2024. Ski you there?
