Ashton Kutcher has opened up about he and his wife Mila Kunis’ parenting techniques, admitting that they’re both adamant their daughter Wyatt won’t develop a sugar addiction.

In fact, the parents are against giving her any sugar all together - revealing that they opted to give the eighteen-month-old an artificial egg full of raisins for Easter instead of allowing a small taste of chocolate.

Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ashton said that he and Mila “aren’t ready” to open the can of worms that comes with eating sugar, explaining: “We didn’t want to put candy in [her Easter basket] because she’s one-and-a-half and she’s not quite ready.

"We’re not quite ready for her to be ready for candy, so we did Cheerios and raisins. She loved the raisins!”

And the star also admitted that he is seriously wondering whether or not it’s worth explaining the Easter Bunny to her, with he and Mila having an in-depth conversation about where to draw the line when it comes to fictional childhood traditions.

He added: “We actually were debating whether or not we were going to explain to her that a bunny was laying eggs. So, we had a legitimate conversation as to whether or not we’re going to go down that path.

"Like, we think we’re going Santa Claus, but we don’t know about the bunny. It’s tough because it’s like, ‘Why is a bunny laying eggs? Mommy, does a bunny lay eggs?’ … 'No, but the Easter Bunny does.’

"And then it becomes a whole thing … and what does that have to do with Jesus coming back from the dead?!”

We can’t wait to find out what they decide to do about the Tooth Fairy in a few years time…
