We best know Ashley Park as Mindy Chen in Netflix’s Emily in Paris, but for her next role, the actress is trading jazz clubs in the City of Love for the Arconia on the Upper West Side.

Ashley is set to star in season 3 of Only Murder in the Buildings, Hulu’s comedic murder-mystery series starring Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short. In the upcoming season, Mabel, Charles, and Oliver — our beloved true crime podcast trio — are poised to solve yet another murder at the Arconia, their eccentric apartment building on New York City’s Upper West Side.

Ashley’s casting was announced on February 23, adding to an impressive roster of season 3 guest stars, including Paul Rudd, Meryl Streep, and Jesse Williams. Days later, on February 27, the actress gushed to E! News about her experience on set and the opportunity to work with Selena, the series’ leading lady.

“I only know that she’s the absolute sweetest,” Ashley shared. “I’ve had such a joy on that set.”

Last week, Ashley uploaded an *iconique* TikTok with Selena, once again confirming her appearance in the series — and her already super sweet friendship with Sel. “murders?? IN THIS BUILDING???? 🫣 so excited to join this killer (pun intended) cast of amazing humans 🫶,” the caption read.

And although we don’t know too many details of her character just yet, Ashley gave E! a small hint about her storyline. “All I can tell you is that I play a Broadway ingénue,” she said. “I think that if I gave anything else away, I’d get in trouble.”

Could Ashley’s character star in Oliver’s Broadway play? Is she the “her” that Charles mentions in his tense backstage conversation with Paul Rudd’s Ben Glenroy? Does she know something about Ben’s mysterious death!? The questions remain until Only Murders in the Building season 3 premieres — so pls Hulu, drop the release date ASAP.
