Few couples embody Bachelor Nation quite like Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon. These two have had some serious drama over the years, including a big breakup, friend zoning and, eventually, marriage. In fact, it’s kinda shocking they don’t have their own reality show.
That certainly could still come. Ashley and Jared just shared happy news: They're expecting a baby. The couple went on Amazon Live to talk all about Ashley's pregnancy so far and their plans (and names) for their baby on way. They've been open about their journey to conceive, and fans and Bachelor Nation shared all the love for their highly anticipated growing fam.
With everything Ashley and Jared have been through on-camera and off, it’s easy to forget how their relationship started—and what has happened to them since. Now that baby number one is on the way, this couple's love story is about to get even cuter. So, ICYMI, here’s a full timeline of Jared and Ashley’s relationship…so far:
2015: Ashley appeared on The Bachelor.
She was competing for Chris Soules' heart and, while she made it decently far on the show, it was pretty clear that she and the farmer were not meant to be.
2015: Jared appeared on The Bachelorette.
Jared competed for the love of Kaitlyn Bristowe and, for a hot minute, Britt Nilsson. Jared was in the top four but was eventually eliminated before overnight dates began.
Summer 2015: Jared and Ashley met on Bachelor in Paradise.
Ashley was all-in from the start. "I remember walking down the steps in Paradise and seeing him at the bar, and it was the weirdest feeling," she said in her YouTube series, The Story of Us. "I was just so gravitated and drawn to him. It was truly love at first sight."
Jared, on the other hand, seemed a little less invested in their relationship, and the two didn’t leave paradise as a couple, but they kept in touch.
Summer 2016: They reunited on Bachelor in Paradise.
Jared made it pretty clear when he went on the show that he was looking to meet someone new. Ashley, on the other hand, was still clearly into Jared, who started to pursue Caila Quinn. Cue Ashley sobbing—a lot—over Jared and his love life.
2018: Ashley filmed Bachelor: Winter Games.
There, she found love with Canadian firefighter Kevin Wendt. The two left the show as a couple.
2018: They went on vacation with friends.
During a trip to St. Lucia with fellow Bachelor Nation couple Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert, Jared realized he still had a thing for Ashley and kissed her in the airport.
Buuut she was dating Kevin at the time. "I had been dating Kevin, like, out in the real world for two weeks, and Jared came out about his feelings and he kissed me in the airport," she said on a 2018 episode of The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast. "It was just one of those moments of passion, one of those actions—he pulled me in, and I kissed him back."
Not long after, 2018: Ashley broke up with Kevin.
Ashley said on her podcast that she knew she needed to end things with Kevin. "I was overwhelmed with the thoughts of, 'Well, that felt right. That definitely felt right, but that was kind of like cheating. I can’t believe that I would ever cheat,'" she explained. "It was one kiss a month into knowing Kevin with somebody that I had been really in love with for two and a half years."
May 2018: Ashley and Jared publicly came out as a couple.
They released the sweetest video on The Story of Us about the timeline of their relationship, and people subsequently freaked out.
June 2018: They got engaged.
On BiP, naturally.
August 2019: A little more than a year later, they got married.
Ashley shared a hilarious BTS video on Instagram of herself waking up on her wedding day to a song from The Wedding Singer: The Musical.

August 2020: Ashley and Jared are still so in love.
Ashley shared a sweet Instagram message to commemorate the event, poking fun of her reputation for being a crier. "I’ve never cried less than I have this year!! Before Jared, at the end of every day, I’d think, 'I’m one day closer to being with my person,'" she wrote. "Now every night I think another precious day has gone by with my love. I don’t think personally life can get any better than it is now for us and I’m grateful for it every day. I love being in our comforting, supportive, playful, loving marriage. Happy anniversary my forever love, @jaredhaibon."
November 2020: They’re trying to get pregnant.
Ashley shared the news on Instagram (as part of some sponsored content). "As many of your know, we’re hoping to expand our family soon. Last year I took a @modernfertility test to help determine how many eggs I had. We found I had an average number of eggs for my age," she wrote. "With this data and my doctor’s guidance, she told us not to wait more than a year before trying for our first baby because we want multiple kids."
The couple haven't been shy about sharing their experience trying to get pregnant. Ashley wrote on Instagram (again, as part of spon con) that they want to add a baby to their family sooner rather than later. "We hope this time next year we’ll have another little stocking up! We’ve been open about our trying to conceive this fall," she wrote. "We knew that by being public about our timeline, we’d have a spotlight on how long it takes for us to announce a baby on the way. If we have struggles conceiving, we won’t be shy to shine that light on those issues to help other people experiencing similar situations feel less alone."
December 2020 - January 2021: They’ve been watching The Bachelor together.
Ashley shared on Instagram that Jared has a "massive crush" on Bachelor star Matt James. "Who else wants to make matching 'I ❤️ Matt' shirts with Jared and Lois?" she joked, alongside a video of Jared fanning out over Matt.
January 2021: The couple had a low-key New Year’s.
Jared shared a hilarious pic on Instagram of how he and his wife celebrated the New Year: Hanging out on the couch in sweats, sneezing. "Sneezing our way into 2021. Tried taking a selfie. Ashley of course sneezed. This is the result. Happy New Year from the Haibon’s," he wrote in the caption.
January 2021: Jared is going back to school.
Ashley shared the news—and her support—in an Instagram Story, along with videos of her husband picking out folders and notebooks for class. "He never finished his Bachelor’s in his early 20s. He’s only got one semester and a summer class left," she explained. "Let’s do this!"
July 2021: The couple shares pregnancy news.
Jared and Ashley teased their baby on the way on Instagram before officially announcing Ashley's pregnancy during an Amazon Live video. Ashley explained that she's already ten weeks along, with a due date in February, per People. She was also honest about her constant morning sickness so far. "It's been a hard time, guys," she said.
As for baby names, the pair said they already have a name picked out if it's a boy, but they're still searching for girl names. "We're not telling a future boy's name because we're set on it, and I have been set on it for over 10 years," Ashley wrote in a previous Instagram post. "I don't want anyone to steal it/I don't want it to become popular! (As if I have the power to do that). I like Arena for a girl because the fan girl in me gets high off the energy in an arena. Jared's not sold on it."
The mom- and dad-to-be are still adjusting to their new titles. "It's weird to say we're gonna be parents. When does it sink in?" Jared asked.
