Ashley Graham Wants People to Talk About the "Messy Parts" of Postpartum Recovery The new mom shared a raw photo of herself to address the Frida Mom ad that was banned from Oscars airtime. On Feb. 10, Graham posted a photo of her postpartum body on Instagram and opened up about the "messier" aspects of the post-birth recovery process. "I never could've guessed that disposable underwear would be my favorite piece of clothing but here we are!" Graham noted that some of the "messy parts" are only unexpected because no one seems to be talking about them. "No one talks about the recovery and healing new moms go through," she wrote. "I wanted to show you guys that it's not all rainbows and butterflies!" Graham, who gave birth to son Isaac in January, also gave props to the company Frida Mom, which makes essential postpartum recovery products. A post-baby selfie may seem like a small step for one woman, but all those seemingly small steps contribute to normalizing what is... normal.
