Ashley Graham says if you're confident 'you can wear anything, you can do anything'

Ashley Graham is one of the best known plus-size models in the industry, and she’s telling women the secret to her success: confidence. In an episode of her go90 series The Ashley Graham Project, the supermodel challenges three of her fans to a walk down the runway. But before they try their own model walks for the first time, Graham shares with them what it’s all about.

“The runway isn’t just about showing fashion, it’s about gaining confidence,” she says. “And I really believe that once you’ve got your confidence, you can wear anything, you can do anything.”

Wearing denim-on-denim, Graham is the first to give her walk a go before the three women rock the catwalk themselves. In the end, however, it’s just one of the model’s fans that gets a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Presented with a swimsuit from Graham’s Swimsuits for All collection, one of the model’s three super fans is given a photoshoot with the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition model herself — which the Georgia native admits puts on some serious pressure.

As a body positive advocate, Graham’s encouragement is nothing new. Instead, it’s just one way that she’s worked to make her industry that much more accepting and inclusive.
