Ashley Graham Shares Travel Diary Snapshots From 'Hidden Gem' in Italy
Ashley Graham's latest Instagram post earned major applause from travel enthusiasts (and even Italians themselves).
The 35-year-old model shared just under a dozen photos and videos of her and her husband Justin Ervin's recent vacation to Italy's southern coast, and it's not necessarily the images–which are absolutely stunning, by the way–that has social media lauding the star, but the fact that she effortlessly and effectively advertised a little-known destination in Calabria: the town of Scilla.
"Scilla, a hidden gem by the sea in the South of Italy, is a place I hope to call home one day," Graham admitted in the caption of her Monday, June 19, post. "It's a coastal treasure with so much charm, beauty, and culture - I can't help but want to share Scilla with the world."
Graham's rosy perspective was evident in the hand-picked pictures she featured alongside the latest entry in her public travel diary, which included snaps of the couple enjoying peaceful moments on the beach, a sample of Italian food staples they ate (like pizza, cannolis and bruschetta), golden hour poses, and of course, dramatic shots of the coastline.
She also suggested those traveling to Europe or even just those thinking of traveling overseas consider paying the seaside village a visit. "When planning your next European adventure, don't forget to add this magical town to your itinerary ❤️."
Those familiar with the area couldn't believe she was using her platform to promote it.
"Yes!!! Thank you for sharing my beautiful region! 😍," exclaimed artist Giuseppe Lo Schiavo before another Instagram user gushed, "I am from Calabria and I am super happy that you are advertising this true gem ❤️."
