Artists Compete For Design Of Iconic Aspen Winternational Poster

Aspen Snowmass in Colorado will once again host the 2024 Audi FIS Ski World Cup from March 1-3 as part of the 2024 Stifel Aspen Winternational.

This time, the ski racers aren't the only ones competing around this event: according to officials at Aspen, submissions from local artists are flowing in for the 2024 Stifel Winternational Poster contest.

"Grab your colored pencils, crayons, or create a graphic from scratch for a chance to have your art chosen to represent this year’s event alongside iconic posters from the past."

Aspen put up a call for submissions, which is still open until January 15th.

According to officials of the resort, "The Stifel Aspen Winternational, a community-centered celebration, honors all things winter."

"The first Winternational took place in 1981 and quickly became a cornerstone of Aspen World Cup ski racing. The 2024 Stifel Aspen Winternational will mark the return of the wintertime festival tradition and the iconic poster art that commemorates each event."

This winter, however, there is a twist to be part of history. Aspen invites artists to submit their art for "the chance to have it chosen as the official featured artwork for the 2024 Stifel Aspen Winternational commemorative poster."

The guidelines are relatively simple: all submissions need to be in a digital format, and the art will be selected on originality, incorporation of Aspen’s ski racing heritage, and relevance to the long-standing Winternational tradition.

"Aspen Snowmass will choose ten finalists: The winner will enjoy a $1,000 gift card to Aspen One, and will have their work printed and distributed throughout the weekend and added to Aspen’s storied collection of ski-racing art."

"The nine runners-up will claim $200 gift cards to Aspen One and have their work featured throughout the weekend."

This is a great opportunity for artists in the ski community, and a wonderful chance to be part of something rad while showcasing your own personal talent.

The competition weekend has a full schedule with men’s tech races, live music, and general celebration.
