Art Basel Ends in 2 Days, but the Best Cocktail Party Already Happened
Art Basel is about art … theoretically. But the influencer- and fashion editor-heavy crowd that descends onto Miami Beach each year has turned the annual art fair into as much a scene as Fashion Week. And where exactly could everyone be found on Tuesday night, on the official start of the week? Well, at model and jewelry deisgner Ivana Jermoluk's house—of course—for a collector cocktail party hosted in partnership with The Cultivist, Jimmy Choo, and Harper's BAZAAR.
Jermoluk hosted the festivities alongside Jaime Wynn, President of Jimmy Choo, Americas, and Miguel Enamorado, Accessories Director at Harper’s Bazaar. Dobel tequila cocktails and delicious canapes were served in the garden as guests admired the installation created by fiber artist Katrina Sánchez, commissioned especially for this event. Sánchez's bright woven art hung from the trees of Jermoluk's garden, as mingling guests walked by in bold Jimmy Choo platforms.
Notable guests in attendance included influencers Xenia Adonts, Tina Leung, Camila Coelho, Cass DiMicco, plus models like Chelcie May and former Bachelorette Tayshia Adams—all of which were decked out in Jimmy Choo.
Everyone says Basel is a marathon, not a sprint, which is ironic considering there are 282 premier galleries featured in this year's convention center and hundreds of events happening in the span of days. But we think it's fair to say guests at the collector cocktail party got more than a head start on the chic happenings of the week.
