Action movie star-turned-politician Arnold Schwarzenegger has been through quite a lot in his life. He's undergone some open-heart surgeries in recent years, and on a March 25 episode of his podcast Arnold's Pump Club, the former governor revealed he had a pacemaker installed just a week earlier.

"I had surgery to become a little bit more of a machine: I got a pacemaker," he shared with listeners. The Terminator star went on to reassure fans that he's already back in business.

“First of all, I want you to know I’m doing great," he said. "I had my surgery on Monday and by Friday, I was already at a big environmental event with my friend and fellow fitness crusader Jane Fonda." He pointed out that "Nobody would ever have thought I started the week with a surgery."

Schwarzenegger needed the pacemaker installed after his doctor told him he'd need it if he'd want to be healthy enough to continue acting in his upcoming projects. That includes season 2 of his Netflix action-comedy series FUBAR.

On March 28, Schwarzenegger took to social media to thank his supporters for lifting him up during his recovery. He also confirmed that his recovery won't get in the way of filming FUBAR.

"I’ve gotten so many kind messages from all over the world, but a lot of people have asked if my pacemaker will cause any problems with FUBAR season 2. Absolutely not," he stated plainly. "I will be ready to film in April, and you can only see it if you’re really looking for it." He poked fun at the situation by placing a power cell on his chest in a nod to his Terminator character.

In the meantime, while he gets back in fighting shape, you can catch up on season 1 of FUBAR on Netflix now.
